The KUKA Connect hardware and software requirements. Hardware Operating System Additional Software Browser KUKA Robot with KRC4 controller KSS 8.3.20 or later Google Chrome 48.0.254 or higher, Safari 9 or higher, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11 KUKA LBR iiwa robot with Sunrise controller Sunrise.OS 1.11 or later *Complimentary KUKA Sunrise.Connect Option package Google Chrome 48.0.254 or higher, Safari 9 or higher, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11 Nebbiolo NFN 300 Series fognode fogos *Your technical contact received the KUKA Sunrise.Connect Option package link via email with instructions. Q: How is robot data collected, then displayed in KUKA Connect? A: A fognode with foglet is connected to local robot networks to automatically discover robots connected to each network and collect and receive robot data from the networks. The data is then encrypted and sent securely to the cloud using TLS cryptographic communication protocol. The data is decrypted and relevant robot data is sent to KUKA Connect to allow users to monitor their robots. 13 Issued: 1.22.2019 Version: 2.3

Q: What is a foglet card? A: A device within the fognode consisting of S0, E0, and E1 ports. It provides integrated computing, storage, and networking. Q: How many foglet cards are included in a fognode? A: Up to three. We customize the number of foglets according to your number of robots and robot networks. Each foglet can communicate with a robot network, 20 robots, and one internet network so the number of foglets is based on how many robot networks, robots, and internet networks you need to connect with. Q: How many robots can be connected to a fognode? A: 60 total 20 on each foglet card. Q: What if I need more than one fognode? A: That s no problem. KUKA sends you all the hardware you need to ensure you have what you need to connect with all of your robots. Q: How hard is it to deploy the fognode? A: It s simple because fognode deployment is zero-touch. Steps include: Receiving the instructions and hardware, connecting your networks to the correct ethernet ports, and turning on the device. Note: You must deploy the hardware in a dual network with DHCP server for WAN and LAN or a combined networking setup (1 network) for a zero-touch experience. Deployment of fognodes in environments that may cause damage by liquids, excessive heat, barrier or blockage of cooling fans, or blunt damage to the hardware is forbidden. Deploying the fognode in any of these environments may cause damage to the hardware and/or loss of data. Q: Which ethernet port on the fognode do I connect to my robot network? A: Use port S0 to connect. Q: Which ethernet port on the fognode do I connect to my internet network? A: Use port E0 to connect. 14 Issued: 1.22.2019 Version: 2.3

Q: Why is there an E1 ethernet port on my fognode? A: For configuring your WAN and/or LAN if you have no DHCP server and for troubleshooting. See the Deploying the Hardware section in the KUKA Connect Help Center for configuration instructions. Note: If you do need to configure your WAN and/or LAN during deployment, save a copy of the network configuration settings in case you need it for reconfiguration. Q: Where can I find more information about KUKA Connect hardware deployment? A: View the Connectivity page in the KUKA Connect Help Center to understand the KUKA Connect network diagrams and deployment procedure along with other relevant information. KUKA Connect Security Q: How does KUKA Connect ensure secure data transfer to the cloud? A: Communication from the customer facility to KUKA Connect s cloud is established using Transport Layer Security (TLS) cryptographic communication protocol. Q: What service does KUKA Connect use to store data? A: Data is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Information about the monitoring and security measures of AWS is available at https://aws.amazon.com/security/. Q: What security protocols are in place to prevent intrusion into customer IT infrastructure through KUKA Connect?
