What videos should you use?? Entertaining and funny ones get the best responses. Anything with cats or kids is always popular. Of course you can video yourself too if you like. Most of my private clients will come to me with these professional videos of themselves, reading a script explaining scientific facts about their products. And I use these videos to combat insomnia SNOOZE FEST!! Just scroll around on Facebook and take note of the types of videos catch your attention. Usually it somebody smacking their face on the pavement during the dumbest stunt imaginable. The video is shaky at best and probably shot with a cell phone. In between the all the fun and exciting videos sprinkle in videos about a product you are promoting or one about yourself. And always ask peeps to like your page.more about that later.
20% Video Time!! DO NOT!! I repeat DO NOT post some corporate made video that you think is awesome. (remember I mentioned boring?) If you have the UMPH go for it and do a video of yourself. These videos will get you some of the biggest returns. TIP During the video ask peeps to like your page or go to a link. Facebook doesn t catch this type of marketing since it isn t printed on the post, haha sneaky right? It doesn t even matter what you are talking about. Pull out your little green plastic army men and run over them with your Hot Wheels cars if you want. Just be your regular fun loving self. I did a spoof video that got over 5,000 views and $0.04 a click in only 72 hours. Oh, and over 70 peeps liked my page in 24 hours. Cool huh?
Sneaky FB Video Formatting Any video you choose to use should be in Mp4 format and uploaded from your computer files or phone. Facebook doesn t take to kindly with sharing youtube videos and will not show the video to everyone. Any video that is linked to a website or youtube will not be shown as much by Facebook. It leads people away from FB and they get a little pissed off about it. FB even changes the way the post looks so it won t be clicked. Here is a youtube video link. It was only shown to 63 peeps. Now if I go to Youtube and download the video as an Mp4 to your computer FB puts the video on auto play and shows it to all of your fans and their friends. How to Upload a Video to a Fan Page Since you are reading this I can only hope you know how to make a FB fan page. It is very simple and there are tons of Youtube videos that will walk you through it. Now that you have a page, scroll down to the status posting area and click Photo/Video You re computer files will open, choose the video you wish to upload and click send. Now you are free to be Witty and Wise in the status update area of the post. REMEMBER to add any links with a CTA (call to action) and a link to your page asking your peeps to like your page. Then click POST. FB will notify you as soon as the video is processed. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
Target Boosting Bombshell Time Now it is time to release your video Ad Pocalypse to the world! If you have ever taken a FB Ads course in the past I m sure you have heard never boost a post from the main page. Times have changed and you can now target victims ( er, potential customers) with boosted posts. So go ahead and push the Boost Post button on your post. Don t worry, I ll wait for you On the top left you will have the option for desktop or mobile news feed. You will need to test a video with both options to track which way your audience views your videos more. And then post ads accordingly.
On the top right of the page you will see these 3 options. You want to choose the third option.targeting. Next click Create New Audience!! Oooh this is Exciting!! Name the audience to match the video. Type the names of major countries where the majority of your buyers will be. And add age ranges of the majority of your buyers.
Now to add interests. Pick 4-10 interests of your niche market. Type a word into the little space and hit enter. Then add another. It is pretty simple. FB will even make suggestions as you type. Then click SAVE. Congrats you just made your first audience. FB will save this audience option too so you can use it again.
Let s Pick Your Ad Pocalypse Budget The FB budget default are is set to $20.00 for 2 days. Really, haha, like we are going to fall for that ole trick. You can change the amounts and days to anything you want as long as it equals to a minimum of $1.00 a day. My personal preference when testing a video is $5.00 for 5 days. I will run the video ad on desktop feed at this amount and then clone it to run on mobile feed for the same price. If this is your 1 st ad FB will gather some quick payment info from you. Now you are ready for Marketing WAR!! In 3.2 1!!
HIT THE BOOST BUTTON NOW!! Facebook will have your add up and running within an hour in most cases. If there is a problem you will be notified to make changes with your video. To find your ads and info it will be updated on your personal page just to the right of your update status area. Take a look at my screen shot below..not TOO SHABBY!!
Get Your Video Ad Stats You can click on any of the links in the posts to get your stats. Instantly know how many times your video has been viewed. How much you are paying per click How many people the video has been delivered to and how many post engagements you have. See Your Ad in Action Go to your fan page and click on your own video. Here you can see all fans comments and reply to them (and you should) Also you can see the number of video views, the number of shares and who has shared your page. I do suggest you go to each shared page and make comments there too.
It will bring more and more peeps to your page when you are connecting with them in person. This spoof video I made of an applicant for a direct sales company is going viral with numerous direct sales and MLM peeps. Notice there are 5900 views and been shared 34 times.
