SUMMER VACATION ASSIGNMENT Class: I Session: 2018-19 Dear students Have a fun-filled summer vacation. Please make a serious attempt to complete the assigned tasks. It is essential to attempt the tasks on your own with the help and inputs from teachers and parents. Remember, All you can do is the best you can do, and the best has its own reward. Seize each day. Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love, to work, to play and to look up at the stars. Please take care of the following: Read newspaper daily. Watch informative programmes on Discovery channel, History channel and National Geographic channel. Practice cursive strokes to improve upon your handwriting. Hone your skills in a hobby. Prepare a time table for yourself and follow it. Practice being Early to bed and Early to rise. Brush your teeth twice a day. Go for a morning walk regularly. Drink lots of fluids (Water, juice, lemonade, etc.) Eat lots of fresh fruits, green vegetables and salads. Learn to be responsible by doing your work on your own such as tying your shoe laces, cleaning your wardrobe, arranging your bookshelf, etc. `Read More - as it makes you smarter by keeping your brain active and engaged in a thoughtful process.
Converse in English with everyone and use magical words like:- Please, Thank you, Pardon me, etc. Be eco-friendly and use electricity and water as per the need. Note: Best Five Summer Vacation Assignments will be awarded from each class on the basis of following criteria: *Self initiative * Originality of ideas * Creativity ENGLISH Language Fun Do cursive writing at least twice a week in 3 in 1 practice notebook. Read two story books during the holidays. Write any one story of your choice on A-4 size sheet and find out the nouns & pronouns from it. Write the moral also. Take dictation of ten words once in a week from the chapters done in the class. Learn and practice syllabus done in class in your 3 in 1 practice notebook. MATHEMATICS Make a wall hanging of Number Names from 1 to 10. Write and learn counting from 1 to 100 in your 3 in 1 practice notebook. Practice syllabus done in class in 3 in 1 practice notebook. E.V.S The World around Us Make a collage or wall hanging of sense organs. Write a small poem on A4 size sheet on the importance of cleanliness and learn it by expressions and actions. Draw a human body on A-4 size sheet and label the different parts of the body. Learn School Prayer, School Song and National Anthem in your vacations with the help of your parents. Learn the chapters done in class. Make a family tree on A4 size sheet & decorate it beautifully. Discuss with your parents about Good Touch & Bad Touch and make your safe circle (people whom you can trust like parents, Grandparents, Teacher). On a cut out of circle write down My Safe Circle and paste their photographs. ART & CRAFT Draw any two favourite fruits and two vegetables and colour them neatly in your School Art File. Make scenery by paper collage method on a sheet (of size 9 *12 ) and stick it on a cardboard.
