Forthcoming project: SSHOC Social Sciences & Humanities Open Cloud 2019-2022 H2020 INFRAEOSC-04-2018; in negotiation phase with the EU Plans to realise the social sciences and humanities part of European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) where data, tools, and training are available and accessible for users of SSH data. Specific objectives: Build the SSH Cloud Maximise re-use through Open Science and FAIR principles Interconnect existing and new infrastructures Governance for SSH-EOSC

SSHOC: Expected impacts EU wide availability of high quality cloud ready SSH tools high quality SSH data trusted and secure access mechanisms for SSH data, conforming to EU legal requirements easy to use SSH Open Marketplace, where tools and data are openly available data sharing is accepted practice (the new normal ) among the different SSH communities state of the art advanced through dedicated SSH data pilots cluster projects SSH seamlessly integrated in the EOSC

SSHOC: Participants Coordinator: CESSDA 19 beneficiaries including ESS, SHARE, CLARIN, DARIAH and LIBER FSD involved as CESSDA LTP in T3.1 Multilingual Terminology T3.5 Data and Metadata Interoperability Hub T8.2 Trust & Quality Assurance

Some thoughts about trusted, sustainable and integrated infrastructures Trusted? Trust is one of CESSDA s main strategic pillars. All national SPs are required to have the CTS certificate. (Trust) landscape is changing and evolving. Sustainable? Social science data archives have existed 50+ years. Advocacy to funders and policymakers still needed. Business models need to be developed. Integrated? Standards & vocabularies within and across disciplines needed. EOSC

Thank You!
