02 UWB Radar Technology Ultra Wide Band Radar Technolgoy

UWB Radar Technology UWB = Ultra Wide Band UWB Radar Sensor = Ultra Wide Band Radar Sensor UWB uses a wide frequency band at low power to transmit large amounts of information within short distances. ToF (Time of Flight) is used to calculate the distance by measuring the time when the radio waves hit the obstacle and reflected.

UWB Radar VS FMCW Radar FMCW Radar Frequency-modulated continuous wave to measure the distance of objects based on the time the radar returns at a particular frequency. The need for a high specification signal processing facility to handle the large amount of information that is constantly pushed, the system must be bigger and more complex. UWB Radar It instantly radiates impulse radar with different amplitudes in cm intervals. You can easily tell when each wave is reflected back. Above all, the pulse type waveform is output, which increases the resolution.

It requires 2 parameter values (distance values/unit : cm) and outputs the intrusion status as Danger, Warning, None through serial communication based on location of an object like person. HST-D3, a combination of HST-S1 Pi and Raspberry Pi 3, transmits raw data to a PC by wired / wireless, and the raw data can be processed and analyzed by real-time storage and retrieval by PC.
