Improving Tremaine Road Project Phases (Regional Road 22) From Main Street to Campbellville Road Environmental Considerations Planning All of the Region s major road work is subject to environmental approval. During design and construction, the Region will continue to work with the neighbouring residents and businesses to minimize construction impacts. What We Are Doing Widening and realigning the existing two-lane rural road to a four-lane semi-urban road from Main Street to Steeles Avenue including: streetlights along the new road a three-metre asphalt pathway on the east side of the road a new traffic roundabout at the new intersection of Steeles Avenue on-street bike lanes on the east and west sides of the new road Next Steps Public Information Center March 5, 2013 Construction start Summer 2013 Construction complete Summer 2014 Future Work The new four-lane, realigned Tremaine Road will be extended from Steeles Avenue to Campbellville Road, with a new interchange to be built at Highway 401.
