Applied Media WHO MADE THIS Salzburg Urstein Institut and its founded University of Applied Sciences With our life-long experience in the academic and business world, and with our network of professionals in all areas from academics to politics and all industries we created our special programmes. Numerous institutions are offering a great variety of various degrees, passing on engineering and management skills what sets us apart is the engineering approach to managerial, innovation, sustainability, media and intercultural issues. The Salzburg Urstein Institut and our University of Applied Sciences offer three types of programmes in the fields of Management & Entrepreneurship, Intercultural Communication, Media Science, Sustainability and European Culture always adding Systematic Innovation also referred to as Design Thinking and globalisation competence to each of them. We condensed the two-year programme to a 18 months stay in Europe and complement it with our non-mandatory Cultural Practice Programme to extend your study experience on an even more practical level. Course information MASTER OF APPLIED MEDIA Reshape communication through systematic innovation. With Applied Media, the Salzburg Urstein Institut fosters active involvement in the European and international media sector. Here we provide a new outlook on information safety, the ability to perceive, evaluate and work with western world symbols and imagery, as well as the necessary skills for taking existing elements and reshaping them into innovative, new combinations: a skillset that is becoming known as systematic innovation. TOP-LEVEL STUDY PROGRAMME IN THE INTERNATI- ONAL MEDIA LANDSCAPE The master programme in Applied Media explores media as technological systems and their role as key driver for cultural development. A strong focus lies on the way media innovations reshape the communication structures in companies as well as the learning environments in the educational sector. The master programme covers topics ranging from aesthetics, media psychology, gamification, Big Data and media ethics to European film culture and the challenges of human-computer-interface design. SYSTEMATIC INNOVATION IN COMPANIES Based on research and current trends in the media sector, we encourage students to identify future developments in the field and to create adequate media formats and contents in line with the market. Thus, we emphasize on the development of systematic innovation, an approach methodically grounded in the causality of an innovative culture.
