The transceiver consists of a fully integrated frequency synthesizer, a power amplifier, a crystal oscillator and modulator. Output power and frequency channels are easily programmable. Current consumption is very low. Built-in Power Down modes makes power saving easily realizable. The Shock Burst technology uses on-chip FIFO to clock in data at a low data rate and transmit at a very high rate thus enabling extremely power reduction. In direct mode the TyM2401 works like a traditional RF device. Data must be at 1Mbps, or 250kbps at low data rate setting, for the receiver to detect the signals. In both ShockBurst & Direct modes the TyM2401 can facilitate simultaneous reception of to parallel independent frequency channels at the maximum data rate. This means: TyM2401 can receive data from to 1Mbps transmitters 8 MHz (8 frequency channels) apart through one antenna interface. - The output from the two data channels is fed to separate MCU interfaces. The TyM2401 DuoCeiver technology provides 2 separate dedicated data channels for RX an replaces the need for two, stand alone receiver systems. Antenna interface is 50Ω and suited for low cost antennas. All necessary configuration data is programmed by an USER interface 8051 Micro controller configuration word via a Serial Peripheral Interface SPI, In-System programmable and ON-CHIP DEBUG (No Emulator Required!) operates from a single +3V DC supply and features power down- and standby-modes which makes power saving easy and efficient.
