It is important that they are read carefully and completely before assembling this Fixture. -This product must be installed with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product. -This Fixture has been rated for up to 40 Watt MAX Type B Candelabra Bulbs (NOT Included). -Before starting installation of this Fixture or the removal of a previous Fixture, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse from the fuse box. WARNING: -Deviation from the Assembly Instructions may result in a risk of fire or electric shock. -To reduce risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, always turn off Fixture and allow it to cool prior to replacing the bulb. -Do not touch the bulbs when the Fixture is turned on. NOTE: Remove all parts and hardware from the box along with any plastic protective packaging and carefully lay all the parts out on a clean, flat surface. DO NOT discard any contents until after assembly and installation is complete to avoid accidently discarding small parts or hardware. STEP 1: Attach the Nipple (D) to the Mounting Bar by screwing in the Nipple and locking it on the opposite side with the Lock Washer (I) and Nut (J). (J) (I) (D) STEP 2: Secure the Mounting Bar to the Outlet Box with the Mounting Screws (E). Tighten until snug. (E) STEP 3: Attach the Canopy by locking it into place on the Nipple (D) with the Canopy Loop and Collar. (D) Page 3 of 5
STEP 4: Adjust the Chain to your desired length by removing the links if needed. May need chain pliers. Attach one end of the Chain to the Canopy Loop and then attach the other end of the Chain to the loop at the top of the Fixture Body (C). (C) STEP 5: Weave the Cord and bare Ground Wire through the Chain about every third link. Slide the Collar on the Canopy Loop down with the Canopy. NOTE: The weight of the Fixture must be taken by the Chain. When adjusting the Cord, make sure that the Cord is longer than the Chain. Page 4 of 5
STEP 6: Wrap the Ground Wire from the Fixture around the Ground Screw on the Mounting Bar and then connect the two White Wires from the Fixture to the White Wire (neutral wire) from the Outlet Box. Connect the Black Wires from the Fixture to the Black Wire (live wire) from the Outlet Box. Cover the connections using the Wire Connectors (F). NOTE: Black Outlet Box Wires may be red or smooth. White Outlet Box Wires may be ribbed. (F) WHITE OR RIBBED FROM HOUSE WHITE OR RIBBED FROM FIXTURE BLACK WIRE FROM HOUSE BLACK OR SMOOTH FROM FIXTURE STEP 7: Slide Canopy back up the Chain and screw the Collar back into place. STEP 8: Screw in the Bulbs. This Fixture has been rated for up to 40 Watt MAX Type B Candelabra Bulbs (NOT Included). STEP 9: Connect breaker and turn on Light. Cleaning & Care: To clean, wipe the Fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid the use of harsh or abrasive chemicals as they may damage the finish. Page 5 of 5
