Mission Statement: Arc Tec Engineering specializes in civil engineering design and construction and project management. We are a multidisciplinary engineering firm with a wealth of experience divided up amongst our members. As an emerging engineering company we are striving to build a solid reputation in the industry. We carry a great work ethic, and apply it to everything we do, striving to be the best that we can be.

Statement of Qualifications Name: Bill Scarth DOB: December 19, 1983 POB: St. John s, Newfoundland & Labrador Interests: Hockey, Aquariums, Digital Photography Previous Employers: Dept. of Natural Resources Petro-Canada Jacques Whitford IMV Projects Having completed six engineering work terms I have been introduced to a variety of industries and projects. Working with IMV Projects provided me with the opportunity to work in a structural design environment. Design work with this firm allowed me to become familiar with design software such as Softek s S-Frame and S-Steel. Various tasks I completed include designing pipe racks and pile supports. With Petro-Canada s technology division I was part of a group that inspected new technologies that could potentially be used by the company in the oil and gas industry. Areas of interest included researching methods to transport natural gas such as; LNG, CNG and gas to wire. The potential of developing tie-back projects was also examined. I executed a flow line stability study and developed associated tools. These tools, which included a spreadsheet, allowed the group to determine the most appropriate flow lines that could be used in various geographical situations. The spreadsheet took into account such details as water depth, pipe contents and pipe type. Working for Jacques Whitford I was exposed to a variety of geotechnical and material projects, including both site work and laboratory tests. These projects included supervising asphalt and concrete pours, as well as, density testing for material fills. This density testing included working on the construction of a roller compacted concrete dam that was built for Nova Scotia Power.

These are some highlights of my work experience. Further details can be seen on my resume or I will be happy to discuss them with you when we meet. Thank You; Bill Scarth

Name: Terry McCarthy DOB: May 20, 1983 POB: Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador Interests: Hockey, Soccer, Skiing, Mountain Biking Previous Employers: NL Hydro CF(L)CO Bridge Design Division NL & Lab Provincial Gov t C-Core Noble-Denton Consultants Husky Energy Hello, my name is Terry McCarthy and I am currently completing term 8 Civil Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland. As an employee, I am certain I can benefit you, the client, in fulfilling the project at hand. I have completed six work terms with six different companies since I have began completing my Civil Engineering degree. While there was opportunity to work with the same employer more than once, I had decided in the beginning to try and work with six different employers in six different roles in order to try and broaden my work experience. Working in the energy industry, ranging from the oil and gas industry to nuclear and hydro power plants, I gained experience in project engineering, development engineering, reservoir engineering, water resource engineering, and structural design engineering. A list of projects I have worked, but not exclusive, are: 1) Project engineering and management of a Guardhouse Building development project, which included the construction of the guardhouse building, roads, sewer, and security conduits. 2) West Edam Development Project consisting of studying and implementing a pilot well concept in a major heavy oil field. 3) Project supervision of a dyke rehab program in Churchill Falls Newfoundland.

4) Underwater Pile and Foundation Analysis in the Atlantic. 5) Mooring and Riser structure analysis and design. Along with my experience in the energy industry, I have gained detail experience in Structural Design working in the Bridge Design Division with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. I am confident, I and the members of our group can provide you with a high quality level of work, and I look forward to sitting down with you where I can elaborate on my experiences listed above. Yours truly, Terry McCarthy

Name: Krista Rebello DOB: March 19, 1982 POB: Southampton, Bermuda Interests: Softball, Fishing, Travelling Previous Employers: Canadian Coast Guard Marine & Civil Infrastructure Dept. of Materials Engineering Soils Lab Dexter Construction Harbour Solutions Project Dept. of Environment & Conservation Water Resources Hi. My name is Krista Rebello. I am a Term 8 Civil Engineering student at Memorial University. Previously, I was VP Corporate Relations for the Engineering Undergraduate Students Society A. I was responsible for creating and distributing a sponsorship package for the hosting of the Annual Presidents Meeting for Engineering Societies across Canada. I also took the lead on some charitable events where proceeds went towards such places like The Association for New Canadians. I am also the class representative for the Civil Class of 2008, acting as a means of communication between students and faculty. In my previous years of work experience I was involved with projects including assistance in the compilation of an Infrastructure Strategies Report with Materials Engineering, cost tracking for the Harbour Solutions Project in Halifax, as well as extensive CAD related draft work with the Canadian Coast Guard, and being the primary author of the Real Time Water Quality Monitoring Manual for Water Resources. I look forward to meeting with you, Krista Rebello

Name: Colin Power DOB: December 28, 1984 POB: St. Catherine s, NL Interests: Basketball, Weight Lifting, Golf Previous Employers: Institute for Ocean Technology (IOT) City of St. John s Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) Technip Canada Ltd. Subsea 7. My background is mainly in Subsea engineering, having worked with Technip Canada Ltd. and Subsea 7, USA. I spent a week offshore in the Gulf of Mexico with Subsea 7 and enjoy getting my hands dirty in the field. I also bring a set of analytical skills to the team having analyzed a flowline crosshaul for the White Rose riser system at Technip, and having analyzed various casing designs for oil wells in all of the existing fields offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. I did this while working for the Canada- Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB). My first two work terms were spent with the escape, evacuation, and rescue team at the Institute of Ocean Technology (IOT) where I studied offshore evacuation via lifeboats and liferafts.

In addition, I spent a term with the City of St. John s where I modelled the sanitary sewer system within St. John s using an innovative GIS integrated software package called Infosewer GIS Professional. Outside of my academic and work life, I played varsity basketball with the Memorial Sea-Hawks for 5 years. This experience taught me the meaning of teamwork and I plan on using those teamwork skills within our engineering team. Best Regards; Colin Power
