Foreword French composer and educator CharlesMarie Widor wrote of. S. Bach: His music tunes the soul to a state in which we can grasp the truth and oneness of things and rise aove everything that is paltry, everything that divides us. This collection celerates the generational universality of Bach s music in ringing timehonored selections within the technical reach of younger singers. Directors will find seven sensitively crafted arrangements in this compilation, all faithful to the composer s originals, with carefully planned vocal lines and supportive piano parts. A schoolfriendly text is also provided in each title. Whether or not this is your choir s first exposure to Bach, our hope is that this pulication will aid in fostering a lasting appreciation for his music, in addition to the realization of the continued enrichment that it rings to all of our lives.
