Casting stronger ties A joint venture between Asahi Organic Chemicals Industry Co. Ltd in Japan and Modi Rubber Ltd in India, Asahi Modi Materials Private Limited (AMM) was set up in November 2012 for the manufacturing and selling of high quality resin-coated sand in India. Asahi Modi Materials has already established a test plant with a capacity of 180 tons/month in Ahmedabad and has been providing samples to foundry, automotive companies for trials since August 2013. The JV firm is currently in the process of setting up a resin-coated manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 4000 tons/month in Jhagadia, District Bharuch.
