St Barnabas House Group Skydive Spring Into Action! Hello! We would like to invite you to join our Spring into Action Skydive event for St Barnabas House on Saturday 12 th March 2016. By taking part in our sponsored 10,000 foot skydive, you can help us to reach everyone who needs hospice care in the Worthing, Arun, Adur and Henfield areas. You ll find enclosed in this pack all the information you ll need in order to take part. As you may know, St Barnabas House offers specialist palliative care to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses. Looking after people in the last days of their lives is only a small part of what we do. Our other services include symptom management and pain relief, respite care, a Day Hospice, and counselling for both the patient and their family. The hospice also has Community and Hospice at Home teams who can support patients in their own homes if they wish. It costs over 5 million each year to provide the hospice s services and patients are never charged for their care. Only a small part of these costs are funded by the government, therefore we rely heavily on events such as Skydives to raise the funds we so desperately need. As you will see from the enclosed literature, we ask you to raise a minimum 395 in sponsor money in order for you to jump for free and in turn we will receive an average donation of 170. In addition to this, every extra pound that you raise over the minimum comes straight to the charity, so please try to raise as much as you possibly can. We sincerely hope that after you have read through this information pack you will decide to give it a go. Don't forget, all you have to do is raise the minimum amount of sponsorship and you will get to jump for free! We look forward to hearing from you soon. Kind Regards, Jemma Cottam Verbruggen St Barnabas House events@stbh.org.uk 01903 706355

Please read the details below and you re one step closer to ticking this amazing experience off your bucket list! Entry Fee You sign up by paying a 50 deposit directly to GoSkydive. Please then give us a call or drop us an email to let us know you have booked. Sponsorship You commit to raising a minimum sponsorship amount of 395 (the 50 deposit is included in this amount). This amount must reach St Barnabas House by Friday 26 th February 2016, which is 2 weeks before your jump date if you would like to jump for FREE! We will then pay the remaining balance of your jump which is 175 pp and the remaining sponsorship stays with us (the charity). If the minimum sponsorship is not received before 2 weeks prior to your jump date, then you will need to pay the balance of the jump cost ( 175) on the day and prior to your jump. Self Funding You can of course self-fund the cost of your skydive and pay the 225 direct to GoSkydive. With this option there is no minimum sponsorship level set for you and any monies you raise will come direct to the charity. Sponsor Form and Fundraising Pack As soon as you have booked and paid the deposit, GoSkydive will send you confirmation of your booking and all the necessary paperwork and will notify us that you have joined our event. We will then send you your fundraising pack and sponsor form by return. We will also support you with fundraising ideas to help you achieve your target after you have signed up. Online Sponsorship Fundraising If you would like to set up a free online fundraising page we recommend that you use Just Giving. All you need to do is visit www.justgiving.com and create your online fundraising page, personalise it with a photo and message, and email your link to your friends, family and colleagues - they can then donate quickly and securely online with a credit or debit card. Please note that all funds raised through your online sponsorship page will come directly to us. All funds need to be raised by Friday 26 th February so we can get GoSkydive to invoice us directly. Alternatively please see the Self-Funding options.

What do I do now? In order to book your jump, you will need to pay your 50 deposit directly to Go Skydive by debit or credit card. To book your place please log onto the Goskydive website and book following this link http://www.goskydive.com/st-barnabas-house-3/ OR call the GoSkydive sales team on 01722 568755 and quote reference: St Barnabas House 12 th March 2016 Once you have booked, please also let us know and we will send you our fundraising pack & sponsor forms. If any of your friends would like to jump as a group of friends or work colleagues, please MENTION this to the Go Skydive Centre at the time of your booking and book your friends at the same time. If you have any further queries regarding the booking of your skydive or need help with fundraising ideas then please contact us on 01903 706355 and a member of our fundraising team would be happy to help. If you cannot make Saturday 12 th March for your jump, but would like to do a jump for us on any day of the year (apart from Christmas Day), then all you need to do is call us on the above number. Please note that the spaces for our jump date are only guaranteed with GoSkydive until 16 th January 2016. After this date they will be opened up to the public. You can continue to book after this date but the spaces might have gone, so please check by calling 01903 706355 or email events@stbh.org.uk to ensure there is still a place with St Barnabas House. We cannot guarantee who will jump with who until the day of the jump but we do try our best to get groups together on the same plane when and if we can.
