Assembly Tips Find a clean, smooth area on which to work, such as a carpet, in order to avoid scratching the parts. Lay out all parts and hardware on the floor or on a table in the order of their number or letter. This will familiarize you with the parts and also help you find a part easier when you re ready to assemble it. Usually there is a small sticker on the part with the designating letter or number that matches the letter or number in the instructions. If that sticker is missing, look at the drawing in the instruction parts list, and try to recognize the part by its shape or characteristics like holes or grooves. We have provided both text and a drawing in each step, so using both will help the most. Each step assembles only a few parts, so just take it one step at a time. To use flip connectors (since the tab is small, a screwdriver might be helpful to flip it) To use Dowels - 1. Add glue (about ¼ full) in the hole(s) of each board to be joined. 2. Insert the Dowel(s) and join boards. 3. Wipe excess glue with a damp paper towel. To use Cam Locks - 1. Insert Cam Bolt until snug 2. Set boards together 3. Insert Cam Lock 4. Turn Cam Lock clockwise (half a turn) Do not overtighten Note arrow direction If it won t turn halfway, back out the Cam Bolt ½ turn and try Cam Lock again. To assemble Step 1 Insert Dowels (D) with Glue (B) to the two holes in the Base (1) and use the flip connectors to attach the Left Side (2) and Right Side (3) to the Base. Step 2 Insert Dowels with Glue to the three holes at the back of the Base, and use the slide connectors to secure the Back (4) to the Sides. Step 3 Fit the Horizontal Divider (5) together with the Vertical Divider (6). Fit the groove of the Top Shelf (7) on the Vertical Divider (6). Hold these pieces (5,6,&7) together while placing them against the Left Side (2). Insert a Dowel with Glue in the bottom of the Left Cubby Side (8), and set it in the holes in the Base as shown. The sides of the Top Shelf and the Horizontal Divider will fit into the slots of the Left Side Cubby. Insert one Bolt (C) through the Back and into the Left Side Cubby. Turn the flip connectors of the Left Side Cubby to secure it to the Base. 8 This hole must face the back 2 In a similar way, use the Right Cubby Side (11) to construct the cubbies on the right side. Step 4 Insert Dowels with Glue in the bottom of the Left Center Divider (9) and the Right Center Divider (10). Use the flip connectors to secure these Dividers to the Base. Use two Bolts (C) through the Back and into the Dividers. Step 5 Add Glue to the dowel holes in the Top (12), and set the Top on the unit. Turn the flip connectors to secure the Top. It might help to start with the flip connectors at one end, and progress toward the other end.
