What is ARTEPI? ArtEpi is a mobile micro city. It is a cultural community in a fight for our only planet. ArtEpi is build for the first time in 2013 as a part of the festival The Wave. The micro city is placed between the seven municipalities in the festival: Holstebro, Ringkøbing-Skjern, Lemvig, Struer, Skive, Herning and Ikast-Brande, Denmark. ARTEPI - Region ARTEPI - Field

Participants ArtEpi is inhabited by 100 artists and scientists from Denmark and abroad. They present new thoughts and ideas, paintings and performances all in the search for a brighter future. Artists and scientists work together to break new ground. Guests and visitors can take part in the quest for answers. ARTEPI Interaction ARTEPI Activities Activities In ArtEpi everything is done with sustainability in mind. Daily routines are put under the microscope, social activities, education and shopping as well. We want to find the best way of doing things. That is why artists and scientists work together. We need both fantasy and facts. As a visitor in ArtEpi you will experience architects at work, exhibitions, lectures, performances, music, happenings, guided tours, workshops and things we have not invented yet.

Time period ArtEpi rises on the moor in Præstbjerg in 2013 and after that the moveable micro-city will travel Europe for three years before returning to Denmark in 2017 when Aarhus is the European Capital of Culture.
