Please Note: After installation extra hardware and accessories are possible due to our kits are used on multiple products and options. To Attach to Ceiling (Figures 1 & 2 on following page) CAUTION: BE SURE POWER IS OFF AT THE MAIN BREAKER BOX PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. 1. Carefully unpack the fixture from the carton. 2. Mounting plate (B) is shipped installed in canopy (A). Remove caps (C) to separate canopy (A) and mounting plate (B). Retain for use later. 3. Adjust cable lengths to set LED assemblies (P) to a height that will make it easy to reach when installing the tubes. 4. Loosen safety nut on gripper (M). It is not necessary to completely remove. Push supply/support cable (L) into gripper (M) until desired height is reached. Repeat for remaining supply/support cable (L). 5. Fixture is shipped at max height. If a short height is desired, remove the countersunk screws (N) and wireway cover plate (O). Pull supply/support cable (L) up through gripper (M). Coil supply/support cable (L) in compartment, replace wireway cover plate (O) and reinstall countersunk screws (N). (Figure 1) 6. Center mounting plate (B) over the electrical box keeping center slots lined up with threaded holes in electircal box. With a pencil, mark the location of all mounting holes on the ceiling. 7. Put the mounting plate (B) down. Drill 1/4" holes in the locations marked on the ceiling. Place the tapered end of the anchors (F) into the holes and gently tap them flush to the ceiling using a light weight hammer. 8. Thread the wires in the electrical box through the center hole in mounting plate (B) while moving it into position. Using two machine screws (not provided) fasten mounting plate (B) to the electric box. Note: A new electric box comes with screws. When replacing a fixture, retain the existing screws for use with the new fixture. 9. Using the #10 screws (G), screw mounting plate (B) securely to the ceiling. Be careful not to over-tighten or strip the anchors (F). 10. Raise canopy (A) close to mounting plate (B). Attach safety cables (H) to mounting plate (B) using safety cable nuts (I) to temporarily support canopy (A) while wiring. 11. Using suitable wire connectors (not provided) connect fixture wires to supply wires (white to white, black to black). Attach a pigtail lead to ground screw (J) and cupped washer (K). Connect all ground wires (bare copper or green to bare copper or green). Ground screw (J) and cupped washer (K) are shipped in the mounting kit bag. CAUTION: MAKE SURE WIRE CONNECTORS ARE TWISTED ON SECURELY, AND NO BARE WIRE IS EXPOSED. 12. Slide canopy (A) over threaded nipple (D) and threaded standoffs (E). Secure canopy (A) with (3) caps (C). To Assembly Tubes (Figures 3 & 4) Q S (Figure 3) 1. Locate acrylic rod (Q) and o-rings (R). Install two o-rings (R) onto each end of acrylic rod (Q). There are grooves in the acrylic rod (Q) for the o-rings (R) to set in. 2. Carefully slide (1) inner tube assembly (S) onto acrylic rod (Q) and roughly center on rod (Q). Slide remaining inner tube assemblies (S) onto acrylic rod, one from each end. U V R 3. Slide a collar (U) onto each end and push up tight to end of inner tube assemblies (S). Make sure tubes are pushed tightly together, but not overlapping. Center everything on acrylic rod (Q), making sure each end has roughly the same amount of rod (Q) exposed. 4. Using hex wrench provided, tighten set screws (V) in both collars (U) evenly. This will secure the inner tube assemblies (S). 5. Slide outer tubes (T) over inner tube assemblies (S). 6. Figure 4 shows completed tube/acrylic rod assembly (W). U T S S T S T U Q (Figure 4) W- TUBE/ACRYLIC ROD ASSEMBLY CONTINUED 6
To Complete Installation (Figure 5) CAUTION: THE FOLLOWING STEPS REQUIRE TWO PEOPLE. 1. Slide cover tube (X) over LED assembly (P). Be sure to slide on far enough so that set screws (V) are exposed. 2. Move outer tubes (T) to one end of tube/rod assembly (W) to expose end of acrylic rod (Q). 3. Slide exposed end of acrylic rod (Q) into the LED assembly (P) until it stops. 4. Tighten set screws (V) in LED assembly (P) evenly to secure end of tube/acrylic rod assembly (W). Note: Ensure both supply/support cables (L) are pointing up from LED Assembly (P). 5. Move cover tube (X) up against tube/rod assembly (W) to cover set screws (V). 6. Repeat steps (1 thru 5) for other side of fixture. 7. To Raise Fixture: Loosen safety nut on gripper (M). It is not necessary to completely remove. Push supply/support cable (L) into gripper (M) until desired height is reached. Repeat for remaining supply/support cable (L). 8. To Lower Fixture: Loosen safety nut, push up on gripper (M) and gently pull down on supply/ support cable (L). 9. Retighten safety nuts on grippers (M). 10. Restore electricity at the main breaker.
