GLIMPSES OF EEE DEPARTMENT 2015-2016 1. Workshops Organized a) Organized One Day Technical workshop on Trouble Shooting & Servicing of Electrical Drives and Appliances on 11-02-2016 for III B.Tech Students, about 80 students from other colleges has participated in the workshop.
b) Organized One Day Technical workshop on Design and Fabrication of PCB on 10-09-2015 in association with Department of ECE. For II B.tech students. C) Organized Five days workshop on PLC & SCADA by Automation and control systems, Pune from 16-03-2015 to 20-03-2015 in association with IEI Student Chapter of EEE department.
d) JIGNASA-2016 2. Guest Lectures Organized a) Dr.V.N.Mani, Scientist, Centre for Materials for Electronics and Information Technology, Govt.of India, Hyderabad delivered a seminar on Role of Semi Conductor and VLSI Technology in Defense Applications on 05-09-2015.
b) Mr.B.Raju, Assistant Divisional Engineer, MRT/KTPS-C Station, Paloncha delivered a seminar on Role of DVR s and Exciters in Power Plant operation-an enhanced Power Plant Operation Approach on 28-09-2015.
3. Industrial Visits a) Students of III B.Tech Visited Dr.Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Plant, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada on 07-01-2016 along with four faculty members and they submitted a comprehensive report about NTTPS.
b) Students of II B.Tech Visited Kumar Pumps and Motors, Tenali on 30-01-2016 along with four faculty members and they submitted a report.
4. Industry Internships Attended by the Students
Students of IV B.Tech EEE attended Internship Training programme from 29-06-2015 to 11-07-2015(Batch-1) and 06-07-2015 to 18-07-2015(Batch-2) at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam and they undergone the following nature of Training: i) Identification of various Industrial Drives ii) Control of Industrial Drives using PLC iii) Power Control and Energy Management using SCADA Systems iv) Power System Analysis of Vizag Steel Plant Industrial Guides have given a very good feedback about the students knowledge in the operational aspects of PLC and SCADA ( As this training is given in the college campus by expertised industry persons.) 5.
