Michael Hummer Fronius International GmbH Froniusplatz 1 4600 Wels NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN ARC TECHNOLOGY
TPS/i
TPS/i - PROCESS ADVANTAGES INCREASED STABILITY by automatically adapting the dynamic if stick-out changes LESS SPATTER STANDARD ARC HIGH SPEED PULS ARC By very short arc length and short circuit after each pulse ~ 2000 times faster process control NO BURN BACK By controlled distance between wire end and workpiece by wire retract MUCH BETTER IGNITION By detecting the thermal condition of the wire end better adjustment of the ignition energy
INTELLIGENT SYSTEM Intelligent interface to the outside Remote Service (FEEL) Intelligent Interaction from man machine Intelligent adaptation to the changing conditions Intelligent Algorithm control Faster data processing
SIMPLICITY IN COMMUNICATION / Touch display with interactive control / Easy to use and understand
INTELLIGENT COMMUNICATION / Components are identified / Limits are recognized and set by itself TPSi Power Source Wire Feeder PushPull Welding Torch Remote Control Cooling Unit
AN ARC THAT S AHEAD OF ITS TIME FASTER MORE STABLE AND EVEN LESS SPATTER FUTUREPROOF easy update HIGHEST PRECISION FEEL THE DIFFERENCE... Improved ignition: Improved weld end ARCLENGTH Stabilization short circuits are stabilized and adjusted PENETRATION Stabilization Constant penetration effect
NEW DEVELOPMENTS / Two New Stabilizer Parameters / Penetration Stabilizer / Arclength Stabilizer / Welding Process / LSC (Low Spatter Control) New algorithm and current profile for spatter reduction / LSC Advanced LSC Process with support of an additional hardware / PMC (Pulse Controlled Sprayarc) Fast control algorithms for pulse profile optimization
Short description of penetration stabilizer / Is stabilizing the penetration depth thru constant current of the welding process (CC). The wire feeding speed is changing to a certain level which can be set. / The actual wire feeding speed is shown at the power source and is limited thru the set value of the penetration stabilizer. / Available for LSC and PMC synergic lines / Value to set: [m/min] / Range to set: Off / 0; 0.1 10 / Default: Off / 0
PENETRATION STABILIZER Old: / Changes in Stickout result in differences in weld penetration New: / Stabilizes the depth of penetration / Adjustable limits
Short description of arclength stabilizer / The short circuit will be stabilized and regulated constantly / Regardless of welding position, the seam geometry or interferences in the arc, the properties of an controlled, short-circuited arc remain the same / Available for all PMC and LSC synergic lines / Range to set: Off / 0; 0.1 bis +2 / Default: Off / 0
ARCLENGTH STABILIZER Old: / Short Arclength is sensitive / A lot of spatter / Process disturbances New: / Short Arclength properties are freezed / Faster welding is possible / Torch position without influence
Penetration and arclength stabilizer in one function Without stabilizers Because of oscillation of the pulsed arc, we can get tendency for undercuts on the workpiece With stabilizers With the stabilizers, the tendency can be interrupted. The arclength stabilizer keeps the arc stable and short even on fast oscillation movements! The penetration stabilizer is controlling wire feeding and current in order to keep the penetration stable!
PULSE MULTI CONTROL (PMC) / No undercuts / Constant penetration / More process stability / Faster welding
PMC PROCESS + ARCLENGTH STABILIZOR I/U PMC with arclength stabilizor is increasing the welding speed, the penetration and the arc stability.
