You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 1. TEAC warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal domestic use with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance and cleaning (i.e. laser head) is not covered by this warranty. The TEAC warranty only applies to TEAC products purchased NEW from a TEAC Authorised Retailer in Australia. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred. 2. The benefits to the consumer given by this Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to goods or services to which the warranty relates, being the Australian Consumer Law. 3. Refund or replacement via your TEAC Authorised Retailer is available for a period of 14 days after purchase for goods that have been inspected and determined to have a major failure. Refund and exchange is not applicable for change of mind. 4. Subject to the terms herein, this warranty effectively covers TEAC products under the 12 Month Replacement Warranty Scheme, 12 months from the date of original purchase. 5. The warranty is void and warranty claims may be refused, subject to the Australian Consumer Law, if: a) The product was not transported, installed, operated or maintained according to manufacturer instruction, or b) The product was abused, damaged, tampered, altered or repaired by any unauthorised persons, or c) Product failure is due to accidents during use, installation or transit, power surges, use of defective or incompatible external devices, exposure to abnormal conditions such as excessive temperatures or humidity, or entry of liquids, objects or creatures into the product, cockroach infestations, or d) The customer is unable to provide proof of purchase of the product for verification, or e) The serial number of the product is missing or has been tampered with. 6. No one is authorised to assume any liability on behalf of TEAC or impose any obligation on it, in connection with the sale of any equipment other than as stated in this warranty and outlined above. 7. TEAC and/or its Authorised Service Centres reserve the right to inspect and verify whether the product is exhibiting a major failure as claimed by customers/retailers. 3

Safety Instructions Please read these instructions carefully and retain for future reference. WARNINGS To prevent fire or shock hazards, do not expose this appliance to water or high heat. If the unit gets wet, DO NOT turn it on. Keep the unit away from damp or humid conditions. Do not place containers filled with liquid on the unit or near the unit. Keep the unit away from naked flame sources such as candles. Air vents built into the unit are for expelling hot air do not cover or block these vents. Be mindful of the power cable and other connected cables place them so they do not get pinched, walked on or damaged. Do not insert foreign objects into the unit. Portable DAB+/AM/FM Radio unit 2. Power cable 3. User manual Setting Up and Switching On This radio should be placed away from heat and moisture, on a stable surface with good air ventilation. Connect the power cable to the radio unit, then plug the other end of the power cable to a wall power outlet. To switch the radio on, push the VOLUME dial to the right. You will hear a click. The radio is now turned on. Extend and adjust the antenna to receive radio channels. You may need to move the radio to get the best reception. 4

For preset stations 6/10, press SHIFT first. To save a station to a preset, tune in to the desired station first - then press and hold any of the preset buttons 1-10 to save the station to that preset number. 25 TONE Adjust the Treble/Bass balance 26 On/Off & Volume Control When the unit is off, turn this dial to the right to switch the unit on - there will be a click. Turn to the right to increase the volume. Turn to the left to decrease the volume. To turn off the unit, turn the dial all the way to the left until there is a click. 6

HOW TO USE: DAB+ Mode Switch to DAB+ Mode by pressing the DAB button. After switching to DAB+ for the first time, the radio will scan for channels automatically. This may take a few minutes. The first station in the list will play after the scan is completed. Changing Stations Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons to scroll through the list of channels. Press SELECT to switch to the displayed channel. Auto-Scanning Stations For best results, scan for new DAB+ channels occasionally so that you have an up to date list of channels stored on your radio. To do this, press the AUTO button and the scanning will start. Some station names may have these symbols beside them:? - This will indicate that the station is not active or available/no reception >> - This symbol indicates that the station is a primary station with secondary services << - This symbol indicates that the station is secondary station To tune manually, use the DAB+ Menu in DAB+ Mode. Using and Saving Presets With preset stations, you can switch to your favourite stations with a single button press. This radio unit has 10 presets available. To access presets 1-5, just press the desired preset button once. To access presets 6-10, press SHIFT before pressing the preset number button. Save stations as preset stations with the following steps: 1. Tune in to the desired station 2. Press and hold a preset button. (To save to presets 6-10, first press SHIFT) 3. The station is saved when the display reads Preset (number) saved. If there is a station already set to a preset station, saving a new preset to the same preset station will overwrite the old preset station. DAB+ Menu Press the MENU button to access the menu options and scroll through them with the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons. Press SELECT to choose the menu option on display. You can use the DAB+ Menu as follows: 7

CHANGE STATION ORDER 1. Press MENU to access the menu options 2. Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons until Station Order is displayed. 3. Press SELECT to enter Station Order. 4. Use the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons to display the desired option. 5. Press SELECT to confirm. MANUAL TUNING 1. Press MENU to access the menu options 2. Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons until Manual Tune is displayed. 3. Press SELECT to enter Manual Tune. 4. Use the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons to go to the desired frequency. 5. Press SELECT to confirm and the radio will show a reception strength bar. 6. Press SELECT to confirm and the radio will show a reception strength bar. CHECK SW VERSION 1. Press MENU to access the menu options 2. Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons until SW Version is displayed. 3. The software version is now displayed on the LED display. PRUNE LIST OF CHANNELS 1. Press MENU to access the menu options 2. Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons until Prune is displayed. 3. Press SELECT to enter Prune. 4. Use the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons to choose between YES/NO. 5. Press SELECT to confirm. ADJUST DRC VALUE 1. Press MENU to access the menu options 2. Press the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons until DRC is displayed. 3. Press SELECT to enter Station Order. 4. Use the LEFT/RIGHT / buttons to display the desired option. 5. Press SELECT to confirm. DRC is dynamic range compression, and it is about increasing the loudness of the quieter parts of the audio signal, and decreasing the loudness of the louder parts. Some broadcasters provide this option to you. DRC 1: Max compression giving a narrower range of loudness, DRC 1/2: medium compression DRC 0: No compression applied (all loud and quiet parts intact) DAB+ Station Information Press the DISPLAY button repeatedly to toggle various information about the DAB+ radio channel to be shown on the LED display. 8

Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): the scrolling text information supplied by the station Program Type (PTY): describes the type of program provided by the station Multiplex Name: shows the multiplex that is broadcasting the program Time and Date: displays the time and date, provided by the broadcaster Channel and Frequency: the transmission frequency of the station Signal Information: shows the digital bit rate and the signal mode Signal Strength: shows a signal bar with the strength of the current station. There is a mark on the bar that indicates the minimum acceptable signal strength. HOW TO USE: AM and FM Mode Switch to AM or FM Mode by pressing the AM or FM button. Tuning FM/AM Radio Channels Turn the tuning dial on the front of the radio left or right until the pointer points to the desired frequency shown on the dial. The tuning dial stops when the pointer is horizontal. Do not force the dial to turn beyond the stopping points as you may cause damage to the tuner parts. HOW TO USE: Aux In Switch to Aux Mode by pressing the AUX button. You can play audio from compatible media players such as your smartphone or an MP3 player by connecting them to this radio, using a matching stereo cable. The Aux socket provided on this radio is 3.5mm. HOW TO USE: Volume and Tone Adjusting the volume Use the VOLUME wheel on the top of the radio. Increase volume: turn the wheel to the right Decrease volume: turn the wheel to the left Adjusting the tone Use the TONE wheel on the top of the radio. Enhance treble frequency: turn the wheel to the right 9
