OBM to LBC and back to OBM - Data Interop Two way Data Exchange Superstructure LEAP Girders or Custom Girders Deck + Haunch Material properties Substructure Piers Abutments Bearings / Beam Seats Material properties 4 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated
Known Limitations - Superstructure Deck Slab Thickness: Use minimum thickness of the slab across all cross-sections and all spans Haunch Thickness: Conservatively transfers the maximum thickness from among all beams in all spans Beam Layout: End blocks are not transferred to LBC Beam Cross-Sections: If using custom beams in OBM, the LBC library will be searched for a beam with the same name. If none found, user will need to modify the library. Bearings: One way transfer to LBC. LBC only supports a rectangular bearing assembly. Barriers are not transferred. 5 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated
Known Limitations - Substructure LBC does not support sloped caps. Steps used instead. LBC does not support Oval columns converted to equivalent Rect. Wingwalls are not transferred. 6 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated

Known Limitations - Superstructure Deck Slab Thickness: Use minimum thickness of the slab across all cross-sections and all spans Haunch Thickness: Conservatively transfers the maximum thickness from among all beams in all spans Beam Layout: Changes in LBS are not sent back to OBM Stiffeners and Cross Frames are one way to LBS Bearings: One way transfer to LBS. LBS only supports a rectangular bearing assembly. Barriers are not transferred. 10 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated
Known Limitations - Substructure LBS does not support sloped caps. Steps used instead. LBS does not support Rect-chamfered, rectangular-filleted, rectangular-beveled and Oval column shapes, All will be converted to equivalent Rect. Wingwalls are not transferred. 11 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated

Why ProStructures? Complex structures where 2D plans hardly depict what needs to be constructed. We live in a 3D world BIM/BrIM Interaction with other software applications that required intelligent data inside. 3D Model is the single source of truth of the structure. Reports and plans will be generated from the model. 14 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated
Transitioning from 2D to 3D Design Plans still need to be submitted as per legal/contractual requirements. Generate a 3D model of the detailing Multiple views will be generated from the 3D model: plan, elevation, sections still allowing the development of plan sheets. Intelligent 2D annotation of the views using the intelligence of the 3D model. Parametric environment: any changes in the 3D model will affect the developed plan sheets and their annotation. Automated bar list and bar bending charts generation. 15 WWW.BENTLEY.COM 2018 Bentley Systems, Incorporated
