ECO B THE BEST LIGHTING SOLUTION FOR HUMANS, THE ENVIRONMENT AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY ECO B s settng new standards for energy-effcent and ergonomc lghtng solutons n the offce. Due to the mpressve effcency up to 157 lm/w when combned wth the applcaton-optmsed SENSONIC EDR lght control system, resources are conserved and ergonomc workplace lghtng s guaranteed at the same tme. The patented lght control system regulates drect and ndrect lght extracton n an asynchronous manner, thereby ncreasng effcency n applcaton further by up to 35 %. 3

INSPIRATION RESOURCES MUST BE USED SUSTAINABLY. THIS APPLIES TO BOTH ECOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES AND TO HUMAN WORK PERFORMANCE AT THE SAME TIME. The most envronmentally-frendly and most economcal energy s energy whch s not consumed. Smart technologes help us to conserve resources and provde us wth effectve support n usng them. A workng envronment whch s optmsed for the user promotes wellbeng and performance. Flckerng LEDs create annoyng strobe effects and can have an adverse mpact on our wellbeng dependng on how frequently such effects occur. 4 5

FEATURES & BENEFITS MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY Wth up to 157 lm/w, the MINERGIE-certfed ECO B offce floor lamp s one of the most energy-effcent workplace lghtng products avalable on the market. Wth a net lumnous flux of over 12950 lumen, two- or four-person workstatons can be llumnated, wth the maxmum connected wattage requred amountng to 82.5 W. ECO B s also avalable as a varant wth just one lght feld for use wth sngle-person desks. SENSONIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM If t s used neffcently, even the most effcent technology only offers lmted added value. Ths s precsely why the ECO B floor lamp s equpped wth the presence and ambent lght-dependent SEN- SONIC control system, whch provdes optmum lght condtons n the room n a fully automatc manner. The requred lumnous ntensty s contnuously adjusted to the avalable ambent lght. The adjustable presence sensor detects even the smallest of movements n the detecton range, ensurng that the lghtng control system s optmsed for the user. In addton to the standard functon, the control system can also be operated n sem-automatc mode. In sem-automatc mode, the floor lamp does not swtch on autonomously; rather, t has to be delberately swtched on by the user. Ths prevents the lamp from swtchng on automatcally f someone only enters a room for a short whle, and also saves energy. 750 300 lx 00 750 300 lx 0.8m 0.8m 0.8m 00 750 300 lx Lamp heght: 2035 mm 14 15

EDR (ECONOMICAL DAYLIGHT REGULATION) AN UP TO 35% EXTRA EFFICIENCY INCREASE DUE TO ASYNCHRONOUS REGULATION In practce, artfcal lght s normally used to supplement the avalable daylght. Ths s precsely why, most of the tme they are used, daylght-regulated floor lamps are only operated at a fracton of ther maxmum lght output. Whle the ndrect lght does ndeed have a postve mpact on the way the room s perceved, at the same tme t s extremely neffcent for achevng the llumnance requred n the offce. Power consumpton n % COMPARISON OF POWER CONSUMPTION: EDR / LINEAR LIGHT REGULATION 0 The lumnous ntensty emtted by a lght source decreases proportonally to the covered dstance at a factor of x 2. The celng s degree of reflecton nfluences how much lght s transferred onto the work surface from the ndrect lghtng. 0 0 Lght output n % 0 Lnear regulaton Asynchronous regulaton 50 ENERGY SAVINGS AND EFFICIENCY INCREASE DUE TO THE EDR FUNCTION 50 As the ambent lght ncreases, EDR decreases the ndrect lght frst of all. The drect lght s only regulated afterwards. Due to ths asynchronous lght regulaton, the spatal effect s supported at the same tme, achevng up to 35 % better effcency than a lght control system wth synchronous regulaton. Durng ths process, the ndrect lght s lmted to max. 7750 lm, whle the connected wattage s reduced from 82.5 W to max. 67 W.* * Values for the two-person and four-person desk lghtng soluton 16 17

UV-stable PMMA cover UV-stable PMMA cover Mountng plate PIR-Sensor Swtch OUTSTANDING TECHNOLOGY FOR MAXIMUM ERGONOMICS Applcaton-optmsed llumnaton s counted among the most mportant prerequstes for guaranteeng ergonomc workng. Ths s why the ECO B seres of floor lamps was consstently desgned to sut the needs of users. The lght s regulated across the entre dmmng range from 0 % to 0.1 % wthout any flckerng, whereby the ndvdual dmmng steps are unnotceable. Due to the combnaton of a mxng chamber reflector, dffusng flm and an LDP longtudnal prsm cover n the drect lght, homogeneous llumnaton of the lght feld and glare suppresson whch s suted to computer work are acheved at the same tme. CONTROL SYSTEM OPTIMISED TO THE USER The best floor lamp s one that the user barely notces s there. A sudden drop n llumnance s generally perceved as very annoyng. If a lghtng control system s not optmsed to the needs of users, n many cases the lumnous ntensty s ncreased manually, so that the desred llumnance does not drop below a certan level. Manual nterventons such as these can mean that you mss out on the benefts of daylght control, snce your workplace s constantly llumnated. SENSONIC EDR s programmed so that regulaton s barely notced and, at the same tme, the desred llumnance s kept constant. If the level of ambent lght drops suddenly, SENSONIC EDR adjusts the lumnous ntensty mmedately to guarantee the rght level of brghtness wthout any notceable nterrupton. If the lght only changes slghtly, the control system reacts more slowly to the lght stuaton, so the user s less rrtated by notceable changes n brghtness n the lamp head s lght feld. The control system thus reacts to changes n lght condtons n a way smlar to most users: ntervene as lttle as possble, but ntervene mmedately f necessary. When needed, a swtch on the lamp also allows the user to adjust the lght control system manually at any tme. 20 21

SIMPLE CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION To enable smple confguraton, for the ECO B and SENSONIC EDR a hgh degree of mportance was attached to uncomplcated and ntutve operaton. The lamp can be swtched on and off and dmmed usng a sngle swtch. As soon as the lamp s dmmed, the electroncs system automatcally saves the new llumnance as a target value, and then contnuously adjusts the lumnous ntensty to the avalable ambent lght. The shut-off tme can be set ndvdually between 2 and 30 mnutes usng a control knob. SPREAD NETWORKED SWARM Several ECO B lamps can be controlled as a swarm wth the optonal Sensonc SPREAD add-on module. If only a sngle desk s occuped n a large room, an unpleasant atmosphere n the room s prevented. All of the presence-detectng lamps regulate ther lumnous power at the defned target value. Addtonally, all of the lamps located wthn a defned operatng radus of the master lamp help to acheve the spatal effect by operatng ther ndrect lght at 30% of the maxmum lght output. To enable smplfed algnment of the moton sensor, there s an Area Test mode avalable to the user whch can also be actvated usng the control knob. Control swtch Movement sensor On/Off button Lght sensor 22 23

REMOTE & SPREAD CONTROL APP All of the SPREAD parameters can be convenently programmed usng the OS app avalable for Phone. When used n combnaton wth the SPREAD module, the app also enables convenent operaton of each ECO B lamp usng a smartphone SIMPLE DESIGN AND HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS Durng the ECO B desgn process, specal emphass was placed on a smple and tmeless desgn language. Due to ts unobtrusve appearance, ECO B can be perfectly ntegrated nto any modern work area. In addton to the standard verson made of chemcally matted and transparently anodsed alumnum, project-specfc enamels, coloured anodsaton and chrome platng are also possble. 24 25

TABLE ADAPTER As well as the verson wth the unobtrusve stand base, ECO B can also be ordered wth a unversal table adapter and a vertcal tube n the sutable length. When used n combnaton wth the ECO B one-person desk lghtng soluton, ergonomc solutons can therefore also be created for use wth heght-adjustable tables. What s more, table adapters are also avalable for the USM-tables. We are also happy to offer specal desgns upon request. 26 27
