The German American Chambers of Commerce (GACCs) are the cooperation partner of SBS systems for business solutions and are responsible for the acquisition and consulting of the US participants. Application and Participant Agreement This delegation trip to Germany as part of the Market Entry Program for SMEs by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is an exceptional opportunity for know-how exchange and network building between executives, researchers, and thought leaders in the United States and Germany. Please read the following statements carefully and indicate your agreement to the terms by signing below. This signed agreement must be completed by October 19, 2018 and sent to cmalone@gaccsouth.com via email. I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms in connection with my participation in the Industry 4.0 Delegation Trip to Germany: 1. I hereby confirm my participation in the delegation trip, starting on Monday, December 3, 2018 and ending on Thursday, December 6, 2018 2. I am aware of the intensive nature of the program s agenda and agree to fully participate in all modules therein to the best of my ability. Typical program days will begin no later than 8:00am and end no earlier than 8:00pm. This will include conferences, site visits and networking events, and travel by bus and/or walking up to 30 minutes at a time. Every participant is responsible for being on time for all parts of the program. 3. I will represent my home country and the delegation in a responsible manner and respect the laws and customs of my host country at all times. I understand that any inappropriate behavior that reflects poorly on the program or the United States will result in an official warning from the GACCs with the possibility of expulsion from the program. 4. I hereby acknowledge and agree that the GACCs cannot be held liable (and hereby disclaim any liability) for any injuries caused by or occurred to the participant during the course of the program. 5. I hereby acknowledge and agree that I have health insurance that will cover me for the duration of the program. I have either made sure that my US insurance will cover me in Germany or I have purchased extra travel insurance coverage. 6. I fully understand the division of associated costs, as explained here: I am solely responsible for covering my individual travel cost, food and hotel accommodations. 7. I understand that the GACCs reserve the right to cancel the trip to Germany due to unforeseeable circumstances such as natural disasters or other hindrances to international travel. The decision to cancel the trip is left to the GACCs and SBS systems for business solutions sole discretion. In the unlikely event of a cancelation, the GACCs nor SBS systems for business solutions are responsible to reimburse participants for already paid travel/accommodations. 8. The GACCs and its partners have my permission to use pictures taken in the course of the trip in print and digital media for the sake of documenting and promoting the delegation trip. This includes, but is not limited to, display of images of my likeness on the GACCs and SBS systems for business solutions websites, and on promotional material related to the program. 9. Please be aware that this document is not a confirmation of your participation. The GACCs will send a reply within two business days of receiving your signed application to confirm your participation in the delegation trip. 10. In the event of a large number of applications, the GACCs and SBS systems for business solutions reserve the right to review and accept/ reject application forms based on their respective compatibility with the program. 11. The GACCs reserve the right to postpone or (in rare cases) cancel the event due to an insufficient number of registrations. 12. Please do not make any travel or other cost-related arrangements before the designated number of participants has been reached. The GACCs will inform you of the status of the participant number in a timely manner.
