INVITATION Motivation Whether in secondary school, university or any other part of economics education, we do not see important changes in society and science sufficiently reflected in the curricula. Change As a consequence our students do not learn proper economics, and are ill equipped to deal with important changes in society. This needs to change. But how? And how drastic? In 2016, he was appointed to the Monetary Policy Council by the President of the Republic of Poland. Bas Haring Is a full professor with chair public understanding of science at Leiden University. He is also Dutch philosopher, writer of popular science and children's literature, television presenter. Govert Buijs holds the Abraham Kuyper Chair for Political Philosophy & Religion VU University Amsterdam He also acts as a policy advisor for (boards of) numerous civil society organisations. Sam de Muijnck is economics student at Amsterdam and former chair of Rethink Economics NL, and one of the authors of Thinking like an economist. Marcel Canoy is distinguished lecturer Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance, advisor for The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, chair of Long Kanker NL and writer for various Dutch Newspapers. 2

Hans Stegeman is the head of Research and Investment Strategy at Triodos Bank and columnist for Dutch news broadcaster (f.i. RTLZ). Formerly worked as chief economist at Rabobank. Currently, writing his thesis on circular economy. Bart Wesselink is senior researcher at Friends of the Earth Netherlands. Formerly worked at PBL, WWF and consultancy Ecofys. Currently writing a book on social inequality and environmental sustainability. 3 Inge Schrijver is graduate of the MA Economics for Transition. She is a participant in the National Think Tank 2018 on circular economics. Stephanie Mudge is Associate Professor of Sociology at the California. She is a historical, political, and economic sociologist specialized in the theoreticallydriven analysis of Western politics, economies, and expertise.
