BELINTERSAT PROJECT BELINTERSAT-1 is a new Belarussian communication satellite at the orbital position 51.5 E, which was successfully launched on 15 th January 2016 from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. BELINTERSAT-1 (BIS-1) satellite is a part of the National System of Satellite Communication and Broadcast of the Republic of Belarus (NSSC&B), it covers Europe, African and Asian continents in C- and Ku-bands. Ground part of the NSSC&B is the Ground Control Station and Teleport located and functioning in Minsk region, Stankovo site (40 km from Minsk).
