A total of 358 international exhibitors from 15 different countries will take the opportunity to present their latest machinery, materials and tools. FRAISA will be displaying its range of products at the MACH- TECH 2017 in Budapest. The Swiss industrial company specialises in milling technology and operates a production site in Hungary, manufacturing state-of-the-art cutting tools for the global market. For many years now, FRAISA has been synonymous with uncompromising quality, outstanding precision and innovative product and system solutions for the cutting industry worldwide. This year, FRAISA will be at stand 311C in hall A, showcasing a broad range of technological innovations and the very latest in precision tools for boosting work productivity. FRAISA highlights at the trade fair Lightform Steel Thread-Formers Reliable threading in steel Thanks to a new ultra-smooth coating and the enhancement of all individual characteristics relevant for performance, Lightform Steel tools achieve previously unrivalled tool life at low torque values. This power reserve makes it possible to select very high forming and feeding speeds, and therefore achieve maximum productivity with lower costs per thread due to the improved tool lifetimes. Reliable thread production in steel with the Lightform Steel thread former With its newly designed Lightform Steel line, FRAISA is presenting a completely new generation of thread formers. Lightform Steel makes the transition from thread cutting to thread forming easier than ever and, above all, more profitable, as thread forming is not only more efficient, it is also more reliable than thread cutting. Unlike thread cutting, forming does not produce shavings or filings, making it a far more reliable method for all automated manufacturing processes. Due to the work hardening under static and dynamic loads, formed threads display higher pull-out strength than the cut versions, resulting in better quality parts. 1

Multi-Functional Cutting (MFC) with the new MB-NVDS tools Interacting with state-of-the-art CAD/CAM systems, the new MB-NVDS tools from FRAISA offer an incomparable level of multi-functionality, enabling up to 96 applications with only one tool and thus creating an incredible cost-cutting potential. The aim of MB-NVDS product development was to create a powerful generation of tools that are suitable for a wide range of milling strategies and materials. The entire manufacturing process is therefore simplified without compromising on performance. ToolExpert MFC The required knowledge of the best tool, type of application and cutting data for the new MB-NVDS cutters is easily accessible via our in-house developed ToolExpert MFC. They facilitate new machining strategies in the fields of tool and mold making. Thanks to their purity, the synthetic CVD diamonds used are extremely wear-resistant and technologically superior compared with diamond-coated tools when it comes to reliable rough milling and finishing. SpheroCarb: Diamondcoated ball nose end mill for cutting hard metals SpheroCarb, the new diamond-coated ball nose end mill, can efficiently and profitably replace the eroding of hard metals with milling in a great many applications, saving both time and money in the process. In addition, component quality is improved compared with EDM processing due to increased dimensional accuracy. Thanks to an innovative diamond-coating process, SpheroCarb tools for processing hard metals can now, for the first time, be produced at economically viable prices. What s more, compared with conventional diamond coatings, the special-purpose SpheroCarb diamond coating exhibits unparalleled adhesion on the hard metal substrate. Sphero-XP with radius tolerance +/ 0.003 Superfinishing in hardened steels with the new super-precision ball nose end mill NB-RPS SupraCarb High-Performance Mill HPC milling in a new performance dimension! Sphero-XP The new Sphero-XP ball nose end mill is designed for finishing extremely high-precision compo nents. The innovative super- precision ball nose means a quantum leap for superfinishing in the world of mold making. Thanks to this outstanding degree of precision with extremely narrow radius tolerances and optimum concentricity, dimensional accuracy and therefore product quality can be massively improved. At the same time, process costs are minimized thanks to the very long service life of the tools. The precision radius, which is ground across the entire ball nose, means it can be used on both 3-axis and state-of-the-art 5-axis machine tools, guaranteeing outstanding flexibility, too. Jump in productivity in HPC roughing with NB-RPS SupraCarb milling tools The new NB-RPS SupraCarb is an addition to the FRAISA range of tools and features a high-performance penetration edge. A central air-cooling channel combined with the newly designed penetration edge is opening up new levels of performance in HPC roughing. With the NB-RPS SupraCarb, penetration is 15 times faster than before with a high level of process reliability and reproducibility. Combined with the extremely wear-resistant POLYCHROM hard coating, the easy-cutting geometry, specifically adapted to suit the cutting load, enables high-performance cutting in both soft and tempered steel, tool steel, stainless steel, cast iron and titanium. The advanced development with the S-penetration edge in combination with the central air and cooling channel enables the chips to be reliably flushed out of the processing area. The severely reduced mechanical and thermal loads therefore lead to far higher productivity and longer tool life. 4

ReToolBlue Comprehensive tool management with ToolCare 2.1 ToolCare 2.1, the new, comprehensive tool management system from FRAISA, enables you to sustainably increase productivity in your company.
