Page 4 Big Flower Pillow Class Do you have leftover fabric with fusible web on the back or smaller fabric scraps you refuse to throw out because you love them and want to include them in another Project? This big Flower pillow is a perfect use for those pieces (you can certainly choose new fabric if your stash is low)! We will be cutting shapes from a template positioning and fusing them to a background and embellishing with some free motion quilting. piece becomes a lovely top to a zippered pillow you will make in class. Instructor: Eve Saturday, January 20; 10 am 2 pm Free Motion Quilting Using Rulers Rulers aren t just for longarm quilters anymore. Machine quilting using rulers on a domestic sewing machine has been getting a lot of attention in the quilting world recently. If you ve purchased the Bernina 72 foot and ruler kit and want to get started using them, this 2-session class is for you. In the first 3-hour class, you ll learn how to use the Bernina rulers and practice on muslin. You ll play with the 5 rulers that come in the Bernina starter set. In the second 3- hour class, you ll work with the rulers on a simple table runner you ve made prior to class. Working with rulers will open a whole new world of fee-motion quilting to you. It take a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, you ll be hooked. Required: ruler kit and Bernina 72 foot, and confidence in free motion quilting Instructor: Sue Fee: $54 Fridays, January 26 and February 2, 1 4 pm Beginner Machine Quilting I Your quilt top is finally pieced and your pattern ends with those three scary words quilt as desired. Now what? Take a deep breath, drop those feed dogs and start machine quilting! In this class, you ll learn to free-motion quilt some basic designs including curved lines, meandering, echoing, and loops. We ll also discuss needles, threads, batting and tension. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. Private Class For times when a regularly scheduled class just won t do, we offer private classes to fill the void. Let s say that a class you're interested in requires rotary skills, and you re still snipping along with scissors. Well a 1- hour private class will bring you up to speed. Or say that you really want to get the hang of paper-piecing or some other skill. Or maybe our classes just don t fit in your schedule. Talk to any one of us and we ll find you the right person at the right time to teach you what you need to know. $25 per hour per person.

Quilts are given to children who are ill, abused, or in difficult situations who could use the comfort of a quilt made for them. Experienced quilters only, please.
