ATL REPORT January 2018 Background The Government of India has setup the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog. Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, AIM proposes to support establishment of a network of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL). ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. The vision is to Cultivate 1 Million children in India as Neoteric1 Innovators. STEM The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Key Features of ATL ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand he concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL contains educational and learning do it yourself kits and equipment on- science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers. To foster inventiveness among students, ATL can conduct different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibi- tions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of prod- ucts, lecture series etc. at periodic intervals. ATL at DAV UNIT 8 BHUBANESWER DAV UNIT 8 is a well-equipped and spacious lab made with the vision to provide students appropriate space and best in class equipment nations into reality. The lab pro- vides following equipment: 1. 3D printer 2. Engineering grade Sensors 3. Microcontroller boards 4. Soldering Stations 5. Measurement tools 6. Wood working tools ATL at DAV UNIT - 8 BHUBANESWAR Here a t U n i t - 8 D A V, B h u b a n e s w a r our ATL training has embraced the view that academic content should be taught through interdisciplinary studies. Students will be immersed in rich, meaningful, STEM experiences interdisciplinary through coursework applied in the context of the real world. Students will not only learn to apply knowledge, but they will also learn about a wide range of STEM careers, develop professional com- munication skills, and develop their ability to apply tech- nology to real world situations. ATL at DAV Unit 8,Bhubaneswar will lead students to develop the skills that they will need in order to succeed.

INNOVATORS AT WORK Students learning to become innovators and making new inventions. To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science. -Albert Einstein

This trophy is for eye blink wheel chair; this wheel chair will be used by lame People, and in medical purpose. Those persons are unable to walk they just wear the glass and according to their eye movement the chair will move.
A workshop on IoT, has been carried out by assistant Prof. Samaleswari Prasad Nayak of Silicon Institute of Technology. He explained about the use of Node MCU and shown LED blinking by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to students. During Robot making for ROBO-WAR
