GAME RULES ELECTRONIC BINGO (BINGO+) The rules herein apply to the bingo+ game and are in effect as of NOVEMBER 28 th 2018, until they are revised. 1.0 INTERPRETATION 1.1 The following definitions apply to the rules herein: Electronic device: Computer tablet type device on which bingo+ and short additional games can be played using electronic cards. Paper card: Paper document confirming a participation in a bingo+ game. Each paper card is made up of either 6 horizontal rows, the first of which displays the letters of the word bingo, and 5 vertical columns, or any other line with boxes. The boxes on paper cards are identified with numbers, an alphanumeric character or the word Gratuit (free). Electronic card: Electronic document confirming a participation in a bingo+ game. Each electronic card is made up of either 6 horizontal rows, the first of which displays the letters of the word bingo, and 5 vertical columns, or any other line with boxes. The boxes on electronic cards are identified with numbers, an alphanumeric character or the word Gratuit (free). Cash-out coupon: Also called transaction receipt. Issued following a purchase, receipt comprising, where applicable, an identification number and security code necessary for connecting to the electronic device. All cash-out coupons must be signed by the holder and presented in order to claim a credit balance or to claim a prize. Credits: Gaming credits to be used to buy additional electronic cards, exchange electronic cards when applicable, or play additional short additional games. The credits are only valid during the gaming session for which they are purchased. Computer equipment: Part of the bingo+ station equipment the Corporation makes available in a hall to enable players to see, in particular, the numbers announced and displayed during a draw. Official screen: Specifically-identified screen in a hall to officially display the numbers selected during each draw and any other relevant information relating to game operation. Screens that are not identified as official are considered unofficial screens. Pattern: As part of a game, set of predetermined fixed or mobile boxes displayed on official screens and electronic devices. Admission package: Package as determined by the Society of a booklet of a minimum of twelve (12) paper cards or an electronic package allowing to play in a regular bingo session. An admission package must be purchased in order to obtain gaming credits, additional paper cards as well as cards used for special rounds. It must be purchased during the sales period. Only one (1) admission package is allowed per session, per person. Electronic package: Predetermined set of electronic cards allowing play during regular and special rounds as part of a gaming session. Only one (1) electronic package is allowed per session, per person. 1

Short additional games: Also called short games. Games that can only be played using an electronic device. Depending on the game, they are played individually or collectively in a given hall. To participate in such games, players must purchase credits in advance at a sales station. Booklet: Set containing the required number of paper cards to play all regular rounds on the game schedule during a given session. Basic prize: Fixed prize amount for a given game. Local progressive prize: Also called local progressive jackpot or hall progressive jackpot. Prize offered in a given hall, the value of which increases according to a fixed amount for each game of bingo+ in which it is offered in the said hall, as long as it is not won. Network progressive prize: Also called network progressive jackpot. Prize offered in every halls, the value of which increases according to a fixed amount for each game of bingo+ in which it is offered in the said halls, as long as it is not won. Regressive jackpot: Prize that varies according to the ball ranking at which it is won during a given game. Caller: Person designated by the hall manager to conduct the draw, specifically to call out the ball numbers drawn and displayed on official screens, verify winning cards, announce local progressive jackpots and start the next round. MPBingo : Game for which local and network progressive jackpots as well as local multiplier prizes are offered as part of a non-simultaneous draw (MPBingo progressive jackpots will hereafter be referred to as Jackpots). MPBingo games are identified as such in the game schedule. Sales period: Period during which admission packages are sold for a given gaming session. The sales period may vary from one hall to another. Game schedule: Detailed schedule for each gaming session containing the following information: day when the gaming session occurs, number of planned rounds and games, as well as prizes to be won. Hall manager: Person to whom the Corporation has given authorization to operate bingo+ equipment. Hall: Location where bingo+ is offered. Corporation: Société des établissements de jeux du Québec inc. Session or gaming session: Period during which a hall organizes and operates bingo+ games (noon, evening or night) as indicated in the game schedule. Round: A round is made up of several games played on a same card. A round may be designated as regular or special, as appropriate, and is identified as such in the game schedule. 2.0 DRAW 2.1 Unless otherwise indicated, draws are conducted according to game schedules offered to customers in each hall. 2

2.2 In the event a draw is interrupted due to equipment malfunction, the Corporation may consider the draw as incomplete in accordance with Paragraph 2.3. 2.3 A draw that cannot be conducted or completed due to exceptional circumstances may be considered, at the Corporation s discretion, incomplete in all halls or only in affected halls. In such an event, the player will only be entitled to the reimbursement of the amount paid for each incomplete game in the hall where the card was purchased. 3.0 GAME DETAILS 3.1 Players purchase cards in the hall where they are playing, and may play only in the hall where the cards are purchased. 3.2 The price of bingo+ cards is indicated in each hall and game schedule. Prices may vary from one package to another. 3.3 Players may not select the cards they wish to purchase. Once a card has been purchased, no refund will be issued unless allowed by present game rules. 3.4 Players may not purchase more than $100 worth of gaming credits per transaction. 3.5 Players may not play as a group. Furthermore, cards and electronic packages must be held and played by a single person. 3.6 Players may purchase cards even if the gaming session has started. In such a case, cards associated with a draw completed during said session at the time of the purchase will be deemed null and void and will not entitle their holder to a prize. 3.7 Alphanumeric characters are randomly selected using an electronic tumbler. 3.8 Numbers are announced in the order they are selected and displayed using the computer equipment on official screens in all halls. Players must mark the numbers displayed on official screens at the correct location on each paper card, and on each electronic card in accordance with the instructions indicated on the electronic device. 3.9 Players are entirely responsible for ensuring that the numbers marked on a card are identical to the numbers drawn. 3.10 Players declare that their valid bingo+ game card is a winner by shouting BINGO clearly and intelligibly before the next number is announced and in such a way as to enable the caller to hear them, react to the shout and take steps to ensure that players have met all conditions for obtaining the pattern matching the current game, as indicated in the game schedule. The number enabling players to call BINGO must be the last one displayed on the computer equipment as a ball called before the player shouts BINGO. 3.11 Once the player shouts BINGO in accordance with Paragraph 3.10, the caller stops the game and checks whether the card is in fact a winner. When the game is stopped for checking purposes, the last number called and displayed on official screens will constitute the reference for confirming winning cards. 3

3.12 When a card is confirmed a winner after verification, the prize matching the winning card will be paid to its holder. However, if a card that is declared a winner cannot be confirmed as such after verification, no prize will be paid to its holder, and the game continues for the relevant prize. 3.13 A prize awarded to a player may not be later claimed by another player. If, before a prize is awarded, more than one player declare their card a winner, which is then confirmed as such after verification, the holders of all winning cards will share the matching prize. 3.14 Cards may only be used during the gaming session for which they are purchased. 3.15 Additional short additional games may be played in accordance with the instructions and in return of the corresponding -price indicated on the electronic device. 3.16 During an MPBingo game, colours will be randomly applied to 75 numbers as follows: 7 blue / 10 green / 12 purple / 21 red / 25 yellow. If players complete the requested pattern and it contains a complete horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of 5 boxes containing numbers of the same colour, players win the basic prize plus the prize corresponding to that colour, in accordance with the terms indicated in Paragraph 4.6 of the rules herein. In the event that the completed pattern does not contain a complete line with numbers of the same colour, only the basic prize indicated on official screens will be awarded. 3.17 The special Double Action game is played using a card containing 2 numbers per box. To complete a box, at least one of the 2 numbers in the box must be marked. 3.18 For the special Bonanza game, 43 numbers are drawn and displayed before the gaming session starts. Cards may be exchanged for a determined period of time before the game starts. During the gaming session, the Bonanza draw continues, as indicated in the game schedule, until the first full card is obtained. 3.19 The special Supernova game is played using a card with a randomly-placed star symbol. Players win, in addition to the basic prize, the Supernova prize indicated in the game schedule if the last number marked on their winning card is in the box containing the star symbol. 3.20 Other special games can be offered. They are displayed in game schedule and their prize structure may vary from one hall to another. 4.0 PRIZES 4.1 Bingo+ prizes are awarded in Canadian currency only. 4.2 Basic prizes are displayed in halls game schedules and on official screens, and may vary from one game schedule to another. 4.3 Network and local MPBingo prizes are indicated on official screens. 4.4 Local progressive jackpots are indicated in the hall where they are offered and may vary from one hall to another. 4.5 Regressive prizes are indicated in the hall where they are offered and may vary from one hall to another. 4

4.6 MPBingo jackpots are as follows, unless otherwise indicated by the Corporation: Blue network Jackpot: The starting amount is $50,000 and in the event that it is not won during a game, it increases by $5. Green network Jackpot: The starting amount is $25,000 and in the event that it is not won during a game, it increases by $5. Red local Jackpot: The starting amount is $500 and in the event that it is not won during a game, it increases by $15. Yellow local Jackpot: The starting amount is $250 and in the event that it is not won during a game, it increases by $15. Purple local multiplier prize: Amount equal to 100 times the number of the last ball drawn and marked for a given game (minimum prize of $1,000). When an MPBingo Jackpot is won, the jackpot is reset to its starting amount, and the rules indicated above apply. 5.0 PRIZE CLAIM AND PAYMENT 5.1 Any winning card of a prize must be confirmed by the control number (the card number) by the call in the hall where the card was purchased before the end of the game for which the card was purchased. Prizes will not be paid if the winning card has not been confirmed as indicated in this paragraph. 5.2 In order to claim the prize corresponding to the winning card to be paid, the legitimate holder must sign a receipt, or fill out the appropriate form in the case of a progressive jackpot. All prizes are paid in accordance with the following terms: a) in cash for all prizes worth $2,000 or less; b) by cheque for all prizes worth more than $2,000. Note that there may be a delay in receipt of a prize paid by cheque. 5.3 All prizes must be claimed before the end of the gaming session during which they were won. 5.4 Players may claim their credits at any time during the gaming session for which they were purchased. Unplayed credits must be cashed out within 30 minutes after the end of said session, with the exception of the evening session followed by night session where they must be cashed no more than 10 minutes before the end of the night session. 5.5 Prize won during a short additional games are automatically added as credits on the electronic device, except for prizes worth more than $2,000, which are paid by cheque in accordance with the terms indicated in Paragraph 5.2. 5.6 A person claiming a prize as a result of a winning ticket is deemed to have declared and proven to the Corporation that he or she is the legitimate owner of that ticket. The SEJQ reserves the right to make the necessary inquiries to certify that this person is the legitimate holder of the winning ticket and may consequently request the presentation of a piece of ID. 5.7 The Corporation may require that the person claiming a prize agrees to hold harmless and indemnified the SEJQ from any other claim made by him or her or by any other person with respect to this prize. 5

5.8 The Corporation is not obliged to award a prize unless the legitimate holder of the winning ticket has given the SEJQ the right to publish his or her name, address and photograph. 6.0 TERMS 6.1 Any card that has not been paid for by the player before the draw for which it is valid will be deemed null and void. The same applies to any paper card or cash-out coupon that is illegible, damaged, counterfeited, improperly cut, misprinted, incomplete, issued erroneously or otherwise defective, unless the control number can be used to confirm that the card is a winner or the cashout coupon entitles its holder to the payment of the indicated amount. Any card that has not been activated before the start of the round for which it was issued will be deemed null and void. Voided cards or cash-out coupons do not entitle the holder to a prize or payment. 6.2 The Corporation may, at any time and at its sole discretion, limit the number of cards printed, issued, distributed or sold. 6.3 When a purchased card is voided, the Corporation may, upon presentation of the card or proof of purchase, reimburse the player for the amount paid for the card. 6.4 In the case of fortuitous events or force majeure, the hall managers incur no liability toward anyone. In all other cases, whether the liability is contractual or in tort, including negligence on their part or on the part of its employees or representatives, the liability of the hall managers is limited to the price paid for the card by the player. 6.5 In the case of fortuitous events or force majeure, the Corporation accepts no liability toward anyone. In all other cases, whether the liability is contractual or in tort, including negligence on the part of the Corporation or on the part of its employee or representatives, the liability of the Corporation is limited, if the claim concerns a valid winning card, to the prize won with said card or to the price paid for the card. 6.6 In the event of a discrepancy between the information indicated on the card, the instructions given by the Corporation or its representatives, the rules herein and the By-law respecting electronic bingo, the conflict will be resolved according to the following priority: a) The By-law respecting electronic bingo b) The rules herein c) The card d) Instructions given by the Corporation or its representatives 6.7 In the event of a discrepancy between the information on the card and the data in the Corporation s computer system, the latter will prevail. 6.8 In the event of a discrepancy between the information on the cash-out coupon and the data in the Corporation s computer system, the latter will prevail. 6.9 Subject to Paragraph 6.10, in the event of a discrepancy between the results of the draw indicated on unofficial hall screens and those on official screens, the latter will prevail. 6.10 In the event of a discrepancy between the draw results indicated on official hall screens and the data in the Corporation s computer system, the latter will prevail. 6

6.11 In the event of a discrepancy between the amount of a local progressive jackpot displayed on a hall screen and the data regarding the progressive jackpot indicated in the Corporation s computer system, the latter will prevail. 6.12 The Corporation makes no representation of any kind whatsoever regarding its bingo+ lottery system, and declines all responsibility for any losses or damages a person may suffer if they operate or don t operate the system. 7.0 GENERAL APPLICATION 7.1 By acquiring a card, its legitimate holder agrees to be bound by the rules herein, the By-law respecting electronic bingo as well as the terms indicated on the card. 7.2 The Corporation reserves the right to change the rules herein at any time and in any manner whatsoever.
