IMPORTANT INFORMATION The uniqueness of natural stone means that tiles can exhibit variations in shade, texture and markings, and this should be taken into consideration during the specification and ordering process. All photographs depicted in this brochure should only be used as an approximate guide in terms of finished appearance. Viewing actual samples or products in-situ is highly recommended prior to order placement. All tiles should be graded upon receipt to ensure they blend harmoniously within the overall design scheme adopted. They should also be graded in terms of size and thickness, as all dimensions listed are nominal and small variations can occur. The thickest tiles should be installed first to establish the required finished floor level, thereby allowing thinner tiles to be bedded up with adhesive. Please note that some products may arrive damp, which often changes the appearance of the stone by making tiles look darker. It is essential that tiles are completely dry prior to installation so that any colour variations can be assessed. A 10% allowance for wastage that can occur in transportation, site handling and cutting should be made at the time of order. Materials should be inspected and unpacked carefully, then cleaned prior to fixing as they may feature a residue from the production process. All natural stone tiles are to some extent porous and sealing them with an appropriate product is highly recommended in order to make maintenance and routine cleaning much easier. Please consult ORVI s sales and technical staff or sealant manufacturer directly for advice. DELIVERY Customers will be contacted to arrange a specific date for delivery. Most deliveries take place between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday Friday, except Bank Holidays. Orders are packed in either wooden crates or on pallets. It is important to notify ORVI at the time of order of any restrictions that may exist relating to site access. Deliveries will be placed, at the driver s discretion, at the nearest safe point to the property/site, which may be on a drive or kerb. Drivers are not insured to help offload deliveries by hand, so it is essential for the customer to arrange for a responsible individual/s to be present. All orders must be examined on delivery. In the rare event of any shortages, damages or other discrepancies, these must be noted on the delivery note and reported within 24 hours. Photographic evidence will be required of the material within the crate to substantiate any claim. Care should be taking when unpacking all stone tiles, as spacers may need to be removed from the packaging before the tiles are removed. Tiles should always be stacked and stored vertically (on back edge) and not on a hard surface as this can cause unnecessary chipping.
