Robocoast is Digital Innovation HUB of EU Robocoast is a center of excellence that is managed by regional development non-profit agency Prizztech Ltd. The form of the organization is a network comprising around 100 SMEs in the field of automation, robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Digital Innovation HUBs The European Commission launched on 19 April 2016 the first industry-related initiative of the Digital Single Market package Building on and complementing the various national initiatives for digitising industry, the Commission will act to trigger further investments in the digitisation of industry and support the creation of better framework conditions for the digital industrial revolution One of the more important pillars of the Digitise European Industry effort is the activity to develop a network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH).

Robocoast as an European Center of Excellence Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) authorized by the European Commission (10/2017) Permanently presented in Brussels by West Finland European Office Having direct contacts to all the essential organizations and keypersons in Brussels

The mission of Robocoast Robocoast combines the needs of enterprises in order to promote modernization of the industry and services by developing new robotics solutions together with a large network of industrial and research partners. The mission of Robocoast is to increase industrial competitiveness by providing modernization services and RDI support for SMEs. Robocoast continually identifying new concrete regional, national or international robotization and modernization challenges e.g. by utilizing The Robocoast Challenge Bank process. The most interesting robotization and modernization challenges will be solved in MatchINDUSTRY LAB, Robocoast R&D Demopaja workshops and/or Living Lab environments with the best robotics experts. At its best, the result is the prototype of the new robot or highly improved production line or service.

The main role of Robocoast is to connect and activate Universities, colleges and R&D Ecosystems Organizations that utilize robotic and automation solutions Public sector Industrial companies Logistics Service sector Health care Consumers New knowledge, R&D resources and development environments Customers needs and contacts

HiPEAC's mission is to steer and increase the European research in the area of high-performance and embedded computing systems, and stimulate cooperation between a) academia and industry and b) computer architects and tool builders. RobotUnion is an ecosystem that involves SMEs and startups together with corporates, researchers, acceleration programs and investors. The RobotUnion consortium is composed by 14 partners from 7 European countries. Largest R&D ecosystem partners of Robocoast Over 200 Universities, 800 PhD students and 30 Research Institutes in the field of robotics and AI Allied ICT Finland (AIF) is a collaboration network of 11 research institutes, five cities, ten business ecosystems and thousands of researchers

Service Concepts of Robocoast Service Concepts of Robocoast Living lab Testing process Modernization or Robotization need modernization feasibility study MI Lab Challenge R&D Demopaja International research project Robocoast always uses its networks to find right experts

Case example Sign Language Tutoring Robot We need a robot who can teach sign language for the autistic children Robocoast searched the best experts and started R&D -project to solve the problem See the ready MOMO robot: https://vimeo.com/265507718

Results of Sign Language Tutoring Robot project Robocoast got a new robotization challenge from Satakunta hospital district and after we have done our Feasibility Study, we searched the right experts for this challenge: Inmoov, Futurice Ltd., Metropolia (University of Applied Sciences) and Aalto University In Robocoast R&D Demopaja -worhshop we built together with experts new Robot prototype and tested it in our Living lab for 12 children with autism As the result, hospital got new knowledge about using robots, Futurice got new robot solution and one student got a job in R&D team of Futurice Ltd.

Modernization Challenges Robocoast R&D Demopaja -workshops
