Important Information READ THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU BEGIN Thank you for purchasing this GrowSpan Series 2000 End Cladding Kit. When properly assembled and maintained, this product will provide years of reliable service. These instructions include helpful hints and important information needed to safely assemble and properly maintain the kit components. Please read these instructions before you begin. If you have any questions during the assembly, contact Customer Service for assistance. TWIN-WALL END FRAME CLADDING KIT: HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE After assembling building main frame and installing the steel end frame, attach twin-wall end frame cladding. Read this section to learn how best to use this guide. Not all pages apply to your cladding kit. Base Plates: Use these diagrams when end frame vertical columns are secured to site using base plates. No Base Plates: Use these diagrams when end frame columns are without base plates and are anchored below grade with customersupplied concrete. ATTENTION: Attach twin-wall panels to end wall girts using Tek screws and 102921 neo-bonded washers spaced at 12" on center. Washers are not needed on Tek screws used to secure H-channel to girts. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Wear eye, hand, and head protection. Use a portable GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) when working with power tools and cords. Do not climb on framing during or after construction. Do not occupy the shelter during high winds, tornadoes, or hurricanes. Provide adequate ventilation if the structure is enclosed. Do not store hazardous materials in the shelter. Provide proper ingress and egress to prevent entrapment. REQUIRED TOOLS The following list identifies the main tools needed to assemble end frame. Additional tools and supports may be needed depending on the structure, location, and application. Tape measure or measuring device Marker to mark the location on cladding panels. Clutched drill driver (cordless with extra batteries works best) Saw to cut panels and aluminum profile to size. Hammers, gloves, and eye protection Adjustable pliers and self-locking pliers Ladders, work platforms, and other machinery for lifting designed to work safely at building and end frame height. ATTENTION: Consult the services of a qualified, professional contractor if you are not familiar with constructing similar structures or the installation of polycarbonate panels. The installers are responsible for designing and furnishing all temporary bracing, shoring and support needed during the assembly process. For safety reasons, those who are not familiar with recognized construction methods and techniques must seek the help of a qualified contractor. 2

UNPACK AND IDENTIFY PARTS The following steps help ensure you have all parts before you begin. Important Information 1. Unpack shipment and place where you can easily inventory parts. Refer to Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets. 2. Verify all parts listed on Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets are present. If anything is missing or you have questions, consult all diagrams for clarification, or contact Customer Service. NOTE: At this time, you do not need to open the plastic bags containing smaller parts such as fasteners and clamps. ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE Following these instructions helps ensure proper installation of the cladding panels. Steps outlining assembly are as follows: 1. Verify all parts are included in shipment. Notify Customer Service for questions or concerns. 2. Read these instructions and all additional documentation included with shipment before you begin. 3. Gather the tools, bracing, ladders (and lifts), and assistants needed to install cladding panels. 4. Check weather before you install cladding. Do not install cladding on a windy or stormy day. 5. Read care and maintenance information. 6. Complete and return all warranty information as instructed (if present). ASSEMBLY NOTE: All screws shall be driven with a clutched drill driver. Do not use impact drivers as they can overtighten screws and otherwise damage screws and base materials, compromising screw and joint integrity. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Proper care and maintenance is important. Check these items periodically: Inspect all components regularly and frequently. Check connections and all fasteners to verify they remain tight and in good repair. Do not climb or stand on shelter or end frame. Remove debris and objects that may accumulate on or around the shelter. Use tools that will not damage cladding when removing debris. Remove snow to prevent excess accumulation. Use tools that will not damage cladding when removing snow. Never allow snow to accumulate on the cover or along sides and end cladding after removing snow. Replace all worn or damaged parts promptly. 3

Ensure correct surface of twin-wall panel will face out or toward the sun when panel is installed. 2. Measure distance from top of foundation to gutter extrusion. ATTENTION: For ground post frames, remember to account for 6" panel length that will be buried according to panel layout details. See vent panel layout detail for end frames with vents and measure from top of vent frame to gutter extrusion. 3. Use the dimension to position gutter cut-out template on panel. 4. Verify template position and hold or tape template in place. Trace around template to mark panel. 5. Remove template and carefully cut panel. Check fit. 6.
