PVD COATING The Physical Vapor Deposition PVD is a technology used to deposit thin metallic layers on several types of substrate. The process is carried out under vacuum where the metals that will be deposited (zirconium, titanium, chrome) are evaporated. The PVD is indicated to innovative products and that need to meet high tribological standards (surface hardness and abrasion, scratch and corrosion resistance). SOLID MATERIALS CUTTING Due to technological developments and machines modernization, it was possible to develop cutting tips with both ceramic and metallic materials in its composition, known as cermet tips. The cermet tip provides greater tool precision, finish and durability for solid cutting sections. TUBE AND PROFILLE CUTTING In opposition to the solid sections cutting which use cermet tips, the cut of interrupted sections use carbide tips. These tips prevent that the high impact characteristic of this section break the cutting edges. This is due to the high tenacity of the carbide material. TUBE FORMING Hercules line was specially developed to meet the cutting need in the tube forming machines. The tips have a special geometry that favors the chip formation in tubular sections. TUBE FORMING ORBITAL CUTTING Designed for cutting steel pipe in orbital machines, the Phoenix line ensures blades with high body rigidity against cutting vibration and better chip relief, providing high surface quality finishing and a higher number of cuts. The Phoenix circular saw blade was specially designed for cutting welded pipes in orbitals machines.
