Step 01 Decide what your talents are Everybody in life has developed certain talents and skills that could and probably Page 1 of 8
are very marketable to the general public. What you need to do is sit down and look to your skills and how they may help other people. They may include things like sales skills, management skills, sports skills. They could be any number of different skills that you've developed over your lifetime. I have a friend who is a wedding photographer and doing quite well making over $100,000 a year by taking pictures at weddings. He then decided that he would take these talents and put them into courses and now sells courses online about photography making over 3 million dollars a year. Step 02 Decide if you want to sell digital or physical products. Our company sells both digital and physical products. We have a complete survival food line, which we market throughout the United States and it's sold at hundreds of websites throughout the country. We also market many different types of digital programs such as the one that you are reading right now. We also teach people how to start, run, and grow businesses online. You Page 2 of 8
don't have to choose between the 2 of these, you can sell both like we do but it's a great idea to first decide which one you want to sell first and work on that business. Then you can always add the other products. The great thing is that there's a huge market for both of these types of products and you can profit from both areas if done correctly. Step 03 Educate yourself on the market. You will first need to find out if your idea is a good idea and you can do this by looking out into the market and seeing what is being searched for on Google. The way you can see what the searched are is to use a tool called Google AdWords tool. You can use this tool and put in your keywords and Google AdWords will give you other suggestions based on the amount of volume of search for that particular keyword. It's a great idea to run your search terms through this free tool at Google first to decide not only if there is a big enough market but if there's a better market by renaming your particular offering name. Page 3 of 8
Educate yourself on your competitors. The best way to find out how to do something is to copy success. Step 04 Go out into the market and look at what other companies are selling your product or service and decide which ones are the most successful. Look at the successful ones, check out their method of advertising, of interacting with customers, and how they are gaining business. If these ideas are working for them, then it will probably work for you too. Do you're research and it will save you a lot of time, money, and hassle. Step 05 Decide what platform you want to present your products. There are so many ways you can market online. You can do it through a webpage, through lead pages, you can do it through platforms like clickbank.com that offers courses to people. You need to decide which one is best for you. To give you an overview, a webpage is where you can list your products and services and you can sell on a daily basis and add Page 4 of 8
products and you can build your presence online. It s also something that people can search for on the internet and find your page and be able to interact with you and buy your products direct from your site. The next way is to use something like leadpages.net. Lead pages actually develops a landing pages for your product and there's no actual website but people can go to this landing page and purchase your products, be it physical or digital. You will of course have to drive traffic to that particular site because it generally is not a searchable page that is going to come up in the rankings on Google. The other thing you can do is develop a course and these course can be sold at a website called clickbank.com. Clickbank.com has plenty of courses on different subjects and it's also a good place to go and research some of your competitors to see what they are selling. Step 06 Set up a schedule of time you will work on your business. Too often people decide they want to start a business and decide that they're going to work on that business in their spare time. The problem is they never have any spare time and without scheduling time to work on that business, they really never get ahead or even get started. I know when I started my business I was Page 5 of 8
working very long hours from 8 in the morning to sometimes 9 at night. Every night I would come home and tell myself that I didn't have enough time to start a business. Then one evening after I had turned on the TV when I came home, a light bulb went off in my head. I thought to myself if I'm watching TV right now I could turn it off and at least work an hour. That night I did, I worked an hour and did some research on my new business. The next night I came home and left that TV off again and did a couple hours work. Over the next year I spent all the time that I had in the evening. I would work from 9 pm until sometimes 2 or 3 in the morning developing my business and building my brand. You may say that I probably didn't get enough sleep and it was very difficulty and you're right. Being an entrepreneur is very difficult but if that's what you really want, you will make it happen. Step 07 Decide where to advertise your business. It used to be that you could optimize your pages through search engine optimization and people would just find your business or find your webpage. That no longer is the case. With millions and millions of webpages on the internet, it's very difficult to rank on the first or second page of Google, which is where you need to be to get any measurable organic traffic. You need to turn to advertising sources Page 6 of 8
such as Google AdWords, YouTube, Facebook, and many more. All of these sources have great advertising platforms that you can use to drive business to your website, landing page, or courses. Step 08 Invest all of your profits back into your business until it generates enough money for you to quit your job. This is a huge mistake a lot of people make. They start a business and as soon as they make a little bit of profit, they go out and spend that profit. This is a mistake that will kill your business quicker than any thing you can do. You need working capital and you also have to have backups for the slow times. Whatever profits you make, you need to put them back in your business until you are generating a replacement income or income that is enough for you to live on. You can't decide that this replacement income is enough based on 1 or 2 months of having profit. It should be a replacement income that reoccurs at least 6 months in a row. Once Page 7 of 8
you have 6 months in a row, you can use that additional income to support yourself. Any additional profits above that amount needs to be put right back in the business for growth. The single biggest key to success and to being a successful entrepreneur is to get started. You have now downloaded this guide to give you an overview as to how to start your business but if you go through this entire plan and never get started and never put any of these great steps into practice, you will never succeed at business.
