estudio 7 Tourism Development & Business Advisors

Tourism Development & Business Advisors Since 1974

Islote del Amor, project carried out by Estudio7 Estudio7 is a company that offers professional engineering consulting services; we are recognised by the market for our expertise in carrying out of tourist coastal infrastructures. We bring perspective and commercial viability to our projects and give advice to our clients at each stage of the same. As specialists in coastal engineering, we have contributed to sustainable tourist development for the areas we have worked in on an international scale.

Estudio7 offers a full service of consulting, specialised advising for businesses and engineering of infrastructures for tourism. We create tourist destinations which are internationally seen as attractive for holidays and profitable projects for investors. For 40 years, Estudio7 has united a team of people with a broad experience and knowledge in all phases for the development of tourism infrastructures and assets. Most of our projects have been accomplished and the constructions now stand as international success references. Estudio7 has been a key partner of tourist development in the Canary Islands (Spain), which is one of the major tourist destinations of the world with more than 3000 hotels and condo-hotels and over 12 million visitors each year. Estudio7 has worked in the sector of tourist development around the world, providing its services in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We maximise the potential of the commercial value in all the stages of the live of the project. We work closely with our clients, providing complementary skills and experience, which build up a successful team.

Marina Rubicón, project carried out by Estudio7 Since 1974, Estudio7 offers consulting and tourist engineering, specialised advising for businesses and solutions to achieve success on an international scale.

Our approach is to carry out sustainable projects with two very valuable assets: the coast and the investor s capital. We have changed the traditional methods of coastal infrastructure planning and design because we know investors need support in their business perspective during this stage of the project. We manage to make the original idea more productive, more profitable and consequently it brings greater return to investors. Thanks to 40 years of experience, Estudio7 has developed and implemented design PROCESSES and their own innovating analyses which have become a philosophy to the company rather than a work system.

Playa Dorada, project carried out by Estudio7 Our approach is to carry out sustainable projects with two very valuable assets: the coast and the investor s capital.

Puerto de Mogán, project carried out by Estudio7 Estudio7 is specialised in three fields which distinguish it from other teams of engineers, planners and consultants: MARINAS, BEACHES and SEA FRONTS.

Puerto Marina Rubicón, project carried out by Estudio7

MARINAS Estudio7 has worked with renowned investors, public and private promoters to develop more than 20 MARINAS and over 30 nautical infrastructures. This work has always been specialised in the maximisation of tourist potential. Whether the projects consider new construction, restructuring or assessment of ports and harbours already in existence, Estudio7 carries out a formal approach to the market, with assessment tailored to each port according to the needs of each project. Our experience allows us to carry out justified positioning analysis and demand projections, as apart from standard consulting and engineering, Estudio7 has carried out the construction and management of marinas. These experiences define the main parameters for the planning of the marina and the size of the installation, the characteristics and services needed to attract navigators, tourists and visitors. Not only do the projects carried out by Estudio7 provide the best engineering, but they are also instrumental in the financial and economic analysis of the port or harbour, which makes for more profitable results. Estudio7 integrates market assessments, environmental considerations, operations within the sector, engineering and financial planning in its planning processes. It leans on its experience to carry out conceptual plans which focus of different client profiles, and works closely with international, national and local institutions.

Playa de Mogán, project carried out by Estudio7

BEACHES We have designed more than 25 beaches in worldwide leading tourist destinations. In Estudio7 we know that beaches are the main incentive to travel, they are the key to tourism. Beaches are also the resources for economic development, therefore, Estudio7 beach projects create business opportunities, adding more high-quality leisure options and always taking into account social and cultural factors. The aim of designing a beach is to incorporate innovating aspects to make them unique experiences which will attract new tourism. All our projects are different, because people are different and so is the use of space. Estudio7 always carries out sustainable development strategies which respect the environment and take into consideration factors such as coastal protection and biodiversity.

Parque Islas Canarias, project carried out by Estudio7

SEA FRONTS Beaches and marinas are great assets, but the real challenge for consulting and tourist infrastructure engineering lies in the activities that can be offered around the coast and it is these that form the core of our work. We consider that a good seaside promenade project maximises the value of the area. We know that for investors, the use of this land is of the utmost importance and it represents a rare and valuable asset.

A GREAT TEAM Many members of Estudio7 have worked together for over 30 years and, together, they have carried out successful projects in the sector of coastal engineering. Others are younger, they are a new generation of enthusiastic talents with new ideas and skills. More than 25 people constitute the Estudio7 team, all of them are specialised in different fields and have a broad experience in their sector. An external support network of first-class professionals also works with our team. Agustín Roso Pascual: President and Founder of Estudio7. He is a Civil Engineer who graduated at the Escuela Superior de Madrid (Higher Civil Engineering School specialised in Roads, Canals and Ports). In 1967 he decided to take part in developing the potential of the tourist industry based on the importance of engineering projects in business success. He designed, planned and directed the construction of a shipyard with the capacity to repair six boats at the same time, based on the idea of lifting the vessels by means of the Syncrolift system, which is a world-record ship-lifting system. To do so, he collaborated with Mr. Pearlson, member of the American Committee of Lloyds Register of Shipping and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. In 1988, the Society honoured Mr. Pearlson with the William M. Kennedy Award for his outstanding service. In 1984, Mr. Roso designed and developed the port now known as Puerto de Mogán and turned it into an icon of the Canary Islands. In 2001, he designed and developed the port known as Puerto de Marina Rubicón, which has become a reference all around Europe. He also developed the port known as Puerto de Tenerife Sur. He is currently still tied to the exploitations of these references for tourism which are internationally renowned, as he is Vice-President of Puerto de Mogan SA, the managing director of Marina Rubicón and Advisor of Marina del Sur. Agustín Roso also works in other sectors such as hotels and construction. He is consultant to Horinsa and was also a Member of the Board of Directors of Aerogeneradores Canarios, Líneas Aéreas Canarias, Intercasa, Motonaútica Canaria and Interinsular de Vehículos. Under his leadership, Estudio7 has successfully achieved to be the sector s most important engineering study company regarding planning, designing, constructing and operating marinas, infrastructures and seaside promenades. Alfonso Muñoz Galindo: Málaga, Spain 1950. General Director, Chief Executive Officer- CEOand Company Shareholder. He is a Civil Engineer who graduated at the Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Madrid (Higher Civil Engineering School specialised in Roads, Canals and Ports). Under Alfonso Muñoz s direction, the company focused its efforts into making engineering products the key to more productive business with more profitable results so that investors get a better return. Hassan Machlab Machlab: Beirut, Lebanon 1959. Managing Director of all our Projects and Chief Operating Officer- COO. He is a Civil Engineer who graduated at the University of Nebraska (Higher Civil specialised in Roads, Canals and Ports). Mr. Machlab speaks Arabic, English and Spanish. He has succeeded in all the projects he directed thanks to his creativity and analysis skills which are the two assets that also characterise Estudio7. Agustín Roso Hernández: Las Palmas de GC, España 1968. Chief Science Officer- CSO. He is a Civil Engineer who graduated at the University of Cantabria (Higher Civil specialised in Roads, Canals and Ports). After his graduation in Spain, Mr. Roso decided to live in Florida and studied with Bernard Le Méhauté (co-author of Shore Protection Manual ) in the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami. Since 1999, he has worked on the application of engineering in tourism. Under his direction, Estudio7 has actively worked on the development of Riviera Maya as a new international destination, as he has been leading the delegation in Mexico for the past 10 years.
