I 1 General note: All programme specifications are subject to change as may from time to time be necessary, and options or alternatives contained in any programme specification will not necessarily all be available at any one time. The University reserves the right at any time (i) to change or cancel any programme or any programme arrangement or any examination arrangement; (ii) to limit transfers between programmes, or choice of programmes if and when such changes should become necessary. As much notice as possible will be given of any such measures, but the University cannot be held to any fixed period. In exceptional circumstances, and subject to the agreement of the appropriate Board or Boards of Faculties and of the Senate, any of the requirements contained in the programme specification may be waived for individual students or groups of students. (This does not apply where eg a programme specification gives a Head of School power to decide on requirements). A period of study of up to one year at another institution may, with the approval of the appropriate Board or Boards of Faculties, be included in the programme of any student as part of the required minimum period of study and the academic assessment of such a period may with the approval of the appropriate Board or Boards of Faculties be included in the examination for the relevant part of the degree programme for such a student.
