The Bid Form has been appropriately completed. 2. We have no objections to the low bidder, nor to the proposed major subcontractors and suppliers. 3. Low bidder has successfully completed similar projects over the last several years. On these bases, we recommend that Musson Bros., Inc. be awarded the Chapman Farms Boulevard contract, contingent on DNR approval of project in the amount of $1,154,914.50. This amount is based on the bid unit prices and estimated quantities. Actual quantities, and therefore the final contract price, may vary. On all construction projects, and especially complex ones like this, unpredictable factors may increase the final contract amount. For this reason, we recommend that the City include a 10 percent contingency when preparing the financial plan for this work.
