Level measurement Control Units, Head-mounted transmitter Set Point Relays Typ GW24, Contact Protection Relays Applications Conversion of sensor signals into voltage or current signals Protection of contacts against overload Special features Explosion protection optional Version illustration Description The control units convert a resistance input into a proportional analogue respectively digital output. Input, output and power supply are isolated from each other. The control units is especially for use with KSR level sensors. The set point relays monitor trip limits in measurements using current/voltage signals. These signals can be generated by control units e.g. MF... or KFD2.... The set point relay can be configured using DIP switches and potentiometers. Contact protection relays are used to switch higher currents. A binary switch connected to the control circuit on the input triggers the relay with a higher contact rating. This increases service life considerably. The output relay is voltage-free. Inputs are safely separated from outputs and supply voltage. Contact protection relays are temperature stabilised and guarantee reliable switching operation. Set Point Relay Type: GW24 GeneralDescription The set point relay monitoring trip limits in measurementsusing current/voltage signals. These signals can be generatedby control units e.g. MF... or KFD2.... Application The set point relay GW24 converts the current/voltage signalsat the input (terminals 1, 2, 3) to a proportional internal voltage. A comparator compares this internal voltage with two presetvalues. The hysteresis, the operating mode and the type ofalarm (HIGH/LOW) are selectable for each set point. The set point relay can be configured using DIP switches andpotentiometers. During configuration (switch points, hysteresis), a monitorvoltage 0...10 V can be used which is available via a 2 mm test socket. This enables you to change the configuration duringnormal operation or even without any input signal. Options The KSR set point relay has the following features: 2 independent switch points with 2 output relays or switchpoint 1 triggering both relays (DIP switch S1.6 in position ON) Test socket for set points and measured value HIGH or LOW alarm selectable for each set point Relay mode of operation separately selectable Wire break monitoring facility can be disabled and directly affects the output relay status Hysteresis adjustable from 0 % to 60 % for each set point EMC acc. to NAMUR NE 21 Order Information GW 24 U Voltage signal The set point relay is only available for 24 V DC power supply. Programmable Digital Display Unit Type: Tracker... General Description The KSR programmable digital display unit type Tracker... combines the features of a control unit and a digital display. Analogue output and limit switches are available as options. Input, output, and supply voltage are galvanically isolated. Application The input circuit is designed to accept 3-wire-potentiometercircuits with an overall resistance of 1 kohm...100 kohm. The KSR programmable digital display unit type Tracker... is especially for connection to KSR level sensors. The analogue output and displayed values are programmable. Thus the device can be used to measure the contents ofvessels with linear or non-linear shapes (e.g. cylindrical). Tracker 223 and Tracker 224 convert the resistance signalinto a voltage or current signal. This signal can be used forfurther evaluation via a SPS. Digital Transmitters with HART Protocol Model T32.10, Head Mounting Model T32.30, Rail Mounting Applications Process industry Machinery and plant construction Special Features User-friendly KSR Configuration Software available freeof-charge Configurable with almost all HART Soft- and Hardware tools Universal for the connection of - Resistance thermometer / -sensor - Thermocouple / mv-sensor Signalling in acc. with NAMUR NE 43, NE 89 Functional safety (SIL 2) Fig. left: Digital Transmitter Model T32.10 Fig. right: Digital Transmitter Model T32.30 Description These transmitters are designed for universal use in the process industry. They offer a high accuracy, galvanic isolation and an excellent EMI protection. Via the HART protocol, the transmitters are configurable (interoperable) with a variety of open configuration tools. Apart from the different sensor types, e.g. sensors in accordance with DIN EN 60 751, JIS C1606, DIN 43 760, DIN EN 60 584 or DIN 43 710, customer specific sensorcurves, through the input of value pairs (user-defined linearisation), can also be defined. The T32 transmitter convinces, in addition, with further sophisticated supervisory functionality such as monitoring of the sensor wire resistance and sensor-break detection in accordance with NAMUR NE 89. Moreover, the transmitters execute an initial test (self test) on connection of the power supply. The dimensions of the head-mounted transmitter match the Form-B DIN connecting heads with extended mounting space, e.g. KSR Model BSS. The rail-mounted transmitters can be used for all standard rack systems in accordance with IEC 60 715. The transmitters are delivered with either a basic configuration or configured according to customers' specifications. Power Supply PSLC242 General safety rules: When working with products which are in contact to dangerous electrical voltages, attention must be payed to the relevant valid VDE / IEC / EN regulations. Especialy with refrence to the following rules: VDE 0100, VDE 0550 / 0551, VDE 0711, VDE 0860, IEC 664, IEC 742, IEC 570, IEC 65 In case of non-observance of this instructions, the unit or other equipment might be damaged and no warranty or liability could be accepted. When it is neccessary to use tools with the units, components parts or subassemblies make it sure, that the power is disconnected from the units and all electric charge which is stored in components inside the unit are discharged. Before opening the equipment disconnect the power cord or make sure, that the power is off and the unit is currentlessl It is only allowed to set components parts, subassemblies or units into operation, if they are mounted in a shockproof housing. During the installation the unit has to be currentless and the power has to be off. Lifeparts (power cords and leads) which are connected to the units, components or subassemblies have to be inspected for damage insulation or breaking. If a failure at the power cords is detected the unit or the subassembly has to be put out of service at once. It is not allowed to reopen the unit or the subassembly before replacing the damaged power cord. It is the user s responsibility to see that the marginal values of the equipment are not exeeded. If it is not to distinguished for the not industrial ultimate user by the presented operating instruction, which electrical data are the correct for the unit or subassembly, a technical adviser has always to be asked for technical information. 230 - L1 N 115~ L1 N The observance of construction requirements and safety rules (VDE, IEC, employers liability insurenance i.e.) is subject to the user/costumer. The power supply units of the series PSLC2 are ready for installation on delivery. The units are constructed for 230V~ as well as 115V~ input voltage details are shown by Terminal disposition. The units are constructed for sinus-oidal input voltage. Output separated according to VDE 0551. Suitable for the tropics - Epoxy resin casted. The units are overload safe and shortcircuit proof. The correct operation of the unit is indicated by the green LED. The power supplies are suitable to be fitted on 35 mm DIN-rail as well to be screwed on any mounting-surface. + - 24 V dc + - 24 V dc KSR KUEBLER AG Data sheet Control Units/Set Point Relays/Contact Protection Relays 02/2013 Page 27 from 34

Contact Protection Relay Type KR230-Ex and KR24-Ex General Description The contact protection relays KR230-Ex and KR24-Ex trans-mit binary signals out of the hazardous area. The input circuits are suitable for sensors according to NAMURDIN EN 60947-5-6 or mechanical contacts. Inputs are safely separated from outputs and supply voltage according to DIN EN 50020. Outputs, and supply voltage are galvanically isolated from each other in accordance with DIN EN 50178 for a nominal isolation voltage of 253 V AC. Wire break monitoring The output is switched off if the current in the control circuitfalls below 0.1 ma (response level for wire break monitoring).
