Introduction integrates virtual & augmented realities with conventional paper maps, to create the next generation of paper maps. With its simple interface and immersive experience, converts regular paper maps into interactive, content rich digital maps.

is constituted of 3 main components The VR Cardboard Although works perfectly without the cardboard, the VR cardboard will only enrich the virtual reality experience in a simple and fun way where students can be submerged in 360 videos and photos. The Map Paper maps of different extent and scales provide the basis on which all the magic works. will recognize preconfigured maps and display relevant information based on the map in hand. The Maps are either provided in advance within the package, printed within a textbook or created using the web interface of. The App With its unique and simple user interface, is developed taking into consideration inexperienced users and students (Grade 1 to 12) to be the target customers. With the app running on the mobile or tablet, the user can look into the map through the app and start seeing augmented points of interests (POIs) as pins or 3D models representing landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower or the Great Wall of China. Once the user concentrates on one of the POIs, he/she will be transferred from augmented reality into a virtual reality environment with the ability to go back anytime.

Our Service List The Package We can mass produce customized packages which include the VR cardboard, paper maps and custom POIs. These packages can link the school s curriculum and learning outcomes to the students experience or can be used as promotional materials and giveaways for tourism authorities and agencies. The Map Our team can design maps to be printed in curriculum textbooks, converting the books from static pages into an interactive medium of information. The Content Our team educational specialists and media experts can develop educational materials linked directly with school curriculums, capture high quality 360 images and videos, provide professional narration for the 360 videos and design 3D models for landmarks. The Website Users can subscribe to our web application and become publishers of their own Users can create and design maps, define POIs, upload their own panoramic photos and print the maps to be used by the app.

in Education As the world becomes more sophisticated and complex, the use of emerging technologies becomes more and more critical to education.

Why to use in the classroom Communication Engagement Collaboration Topicality The best reasons to use augmented reality in education is its ability to remove the barriers of language, culture, and geographic distance. Teacher and student surveys show that the education industry is more than ready for virtual reality and augmented reality learning. A great strength of augmented reality is its ability to level the perceptions and experiences of disparate groups of people.. An effective education must include training and experience in the technologies used in the modern workforce, and therefore education should include AR.

Surveys Show That There is High Potential for VR in Education Of teachers agree that Virtual reality would have A positive effect on Their students. Of teaches are using Virtual reality content In their classrooms.

Simulate experiences Relevant to course content like flying as the Wright Brothers did in 1903 From taking virtual field trips to the aquarium to diving to the bottom of the ocean floor, opportunities for trumaps In education are endless, Teachers would like to use virtual reality to enable Students to: Explore otherwise inaccessible locations like outer space Travel distant world landmarks like the great pyramids of Egypt Supplement course curriculum to help students better understand concepts like chemical reaction for a science lesson

Virtual reality can be applied to a variety of subjects, According to teachers Subjects that would most benefit from virtual reality are: SCIENCE HISTORY SOCIAL STUDIES ART ENGLISH/ ENGINEERING LITERATURE

help students better understand learning concepts allow for greater collaboration in my classroom increase student motivation of high school teachers (grades 9-12) would like to Use virtual reality to tour College campuses to encourage students To pursue higher education

Try It! Download trumaps using the codes below and use the world map on the right to test the app. For more info visit: www.tru-maps.com

Look at the map and investigate the different pins or 3D models. You can turn on and off different layers using the virtual buttons on the map. Concentrate on one of the pins or 3D models and explore the virtual reality (VR) To exit the VR mode, Look down and concentrate on Exit to go back to the map and explore a different POI. Potential Uses of trumapss Tourism Tourism authorities or organizations can create maps with famous landmarks or target destinations. Real estate Real state companies can create maps of the assets with VR of the assets. Map producers Survey and Cartography agencies can create beautiful interactive paper maps Commerce Interactive paper maps can be created for Exhibition and Mall venues with VR views of the shops and booths. Utilities Augmented paper maps can be created for the city utilities such as electric lines or gas pipelines.
