CROPOS as Support of Geodetic Infrastructure in Croatia Dr. Sc. Danko Markovinović - Croatia CLGE VicePresident The Geodetic Infrastructure in Europe - today and tomorrow Sweden...Umeå...22-23 June 2011 1

CROPOS CROatian Positioning System The National Network of Reference GNSS stations of the Republic of Croatia putinoperation: 9thofDecember2008. financed under national PHARE2005 program 1.700.000,00 (source State Geodetic Administration) 1.700.000,00 75% from EU 25 % State budget Republic of Croatia + Preliminary works 120.000 2

CROPOS in CROGeodesy -1 CROPOS is a reference GNSS network of permanent stations of the Republic of Croatia provides for its users the real time positioning with an accuracy of ±2 cm for horizontal positioning (2D) and ±4 cm for vertical positioning(3d) duetothefullcropossystemfunctionalityfromthe end of the 2008 th, the approach to the monitoring of geodetic infrastructure was fundamentally changed 3

CROPOS in CROGeodesy -2 Represents new step forward, impulse and power for: geodesy economy establishment and maintenance of geoinformation new vision and way of communication it is intended for proffesional and scientific users of: geodetic- cadastral system of Croatia state and local government public sectors and institutions economy citizens(hikers, car navigation, nautics, climbers...) 4

CROPOS in CROGeodesy -3 homogenization of coordinate system introduction and application of new geodetic reference system(datum) of the Republic of Croatia unique measurements and positioning accuracy on the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia utilization of the unique measurement methods standardization in geodetic works faster, economic and more efficient performance of geodetic works 5

Distribution of permanent stations SLO - 7 H - 4 30 stations Mutual distance <70 km Network software: Trimble MN - 2 6

CROPOS System Charasteristics Collecting the data from 30 reference GNSS stations Measurement data exchange between reference GNSS stations and the neighboring countries in real time Networking and computing the correction parameters in real time Distribution of measurement data and correction parameters totheusersinrealtime Distribution of measurement data to the users for postprocessing Monitoring the system operations and providing support to the users For scientific purposes: Bernese software 5.0 24/7 system availability 7
