ABOUT ORGANIZER (ITTA) The Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA) is the only association of the technical textile industry in India. Formation of ITTA was facilitated by Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. ITTA membership represents the entire technical textile value chain from raw material to finished goods producers, machinery manufacturers, consultants, centers of excellence and R&D institutes. At present, ITTA has over 300 members. During the last seven years, ITTA has undertaken a number of activities like organizing conferences, exhibition, workshops on govt. support schemes, taking up the industry issues with Govt. agencies. ITTA has become a founding member of ASIAN PACIFIC NONWOVENS FEDERATION (APNF) along with INDA, USA and CNITA, China to focus on building bridges and promoting the common interest of technical textiles, including nonwovens in Asia-Pacific region. ITTA represents in almost all the BIS Sectional Committees of technical textiles to develop Indian Standards on technical textile products and their test methods. With the participation of its members, ITTA has formed focused Sectoral Committees on major technical textile sectors to promote, analyze the gaps in Technology, Government Policies, Quality, standardization, etc and formulate recommendation to competent authority for the growth of the respective segments of technical textiles.
