THE 3905 CENTURY CLUB, INC. 2000-POINT AWARD APPLICATION (AND SUBSEQUENT 1000-POINT INCREMENTS) (EACH BAND/MODE SEPARATELY) (NOT ENDORSABLE) The requirements for the 2000-Point Award are simple. You just follow the requirements for the 100-Point, 500-Point and 1000-Point awards (which we call Level I, Level II and Level III on this application) to earn an additional 1000 points for your 2000-Point Award, or higher award in increments of 1000 points. The 2000-Point Award and higher consists of a certificate or an optional (higher cost) plaque. DEFINITIONS: PREFIX The prefix is the character(s) preceding the numeric call area in the call sign. Some awards apply a different definition, which is given in the documents describing those awards. Examples: W1AW, 6W8DY WILD CARD A Wild Card is any holder of the 1000-Point or higher progressive awards. For the purpose of applying for the 2000-Point and higher progressive or points awards, a Wild Card is a holder of the next lower progressive or points award then the level being applied for. Wild Cards applied toward an award must meet the same band/mode requirements as all other QSLs applied toward that award. SUPER WILD CARD A Super Wild Card (SWC) is a holder of a numbered Master s Degree Award. SWC Numbers (also SWC) applied toward awards may be from any band/mode. Note that when using an SWC, you are not using a QSL card, a call sign or a specific contact; you are using the SWC Number. You may use the QSL card and the contact it represents separately from the SWC Number, but except for awards that very specifically state otherwise, once you use the SWC you may NEVER use that same SWC ever again on any other award. When using an SWC, list the call sign, then "SWC" followed by the applicable Master's Degree certificate number. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 1. All contacts must be made on The 3905 Century Club, Inc. nets and must be on the same band and mode. The award may be earned on each band/mode for which the Club has nets. 2. All applicants for the 2000-Point (or higher) Award must have earned or applied and been approved for the next lower point award. 3. Each call sign can be counted in only one category. DO NOT enter any call sign in more than one category, or more than once on this application. No call sign may be used more than once on any of the progressive system awards; i.e., the awards issued for 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, etc., points. Once a call sign is used to apply for any progressive award, it may not be used to apply for any other progressive award. Cards used on progressive awards may be reused to apply for non-progressive awards EXCEPTION: Any call sign modified by PORTABLE or MOBILE or located in a different state, province, territory or entity is considered a different call sign for the purpose of this award. 4. Wild Cards and Super Wild Cards may NOT be used on the Level I and Level II portions of this award. 5. On the Level III (state prefix) portion of this application, you may use up to a total of four (4) Wild Cards for State Prefixes only, but only one Wild Card per state, and not for Alaska or Hawaii. You may also use one Super Wild Card for State Prefixes, but not for Alaska or Hawaii. 2000-Point Award Application Page 1 of 7 Mar 1, 2018
The use of the Super Wild Card is independent from the use of the Wild Card; i.e., it is permissible to use both one Wild Card and a Super Wild Card for a single state. The Wild Card number and Super Wild Card status (Master s Degree Holder) must be listed on the cards by the Wild Card or Super Wild Card holder. Applicants must list the Wild Card number next to the call sign and SWC or Masters next to any Super Wild card used. Do NOT alter a QSL card to add a missing Wild Card number or Super Wild Card (Master s Degree Award) status these must be indicated by the originator of the QSL card. NOTE: Be very careful when using Super Wild Cards because an SWC may only be used once and only once in a lifetime. Once used, it cannot ever be used again on any other award offered by The 3905 Century Club. 6. When entering call signs, mobiles must be entered with /M and portables with /P following the call sign. Also include the state, province, territory or entity. Ex: WY8V /M VT, KP4/WY8V /P, VE3/WY8V /M 2000-Point Award Application Page 2 of 7 Mar 1, 2018
