APEC CHILE 2019 - PRIORITIES
1 DIGITAL AND SERVICES ECONOMY Build on the work initiated by Viet Nam and others within the human resource working group through high-quality, impactful projects. Organize an innovation summit; focus on Fintech capacity building for SMEs; and promote smart regional cities that can foster new and collaborative growth. Ensure personal information and the consumer rights are appropriately protected in the digital era Create an international regulatory cooperation toolkit to address the complex task of regulating changing business models and technologies Our priority must be to advance methodologies to measure the impact of the digital economy in the region.
2 CONNECTIVITY Promote the incorporation of SMEs in international trade by holding a Customs-Business Dialogue To encourage participation in Global Value Chains, we will carry out a stock take of work underway in APEC, hold a Policy Dialogue and propose an action plan. Emphasize the development of common standards for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs; and draw up Manual of Good Practices Encourage the adoption of Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) among APEC economies to increase growth trade between AEOs. Conduct a Policy Dialogue to discuss the Interoperability of e-single Window systems. Develop an APEC manual with principles to promote these systems. Explore the possibility of creating an APEC Logistics Index, using factual data and comprehensive information shared among APEC economies.
3 WOMEN AND ECONOMIC GROWTH Increase women s participation in Non-Traditional Sectors and by advancing digital literacy for women. Develop a new APEC roadmap, supported by a Leaders that will commit to work towards increasing the female labor force participation, reducing salary gap and achieving more women assuming decisionmaking positions Refine APEC s data collection efforts through expanding and elevating the APEC Women and the Economy Dashboard. Engaging with the private sector, we would like to seek the possibility of bringing into APEC the Gender Parity Initiative to increase the participation of women in leadership positions.

Plan PPWE 2019 : Woman as a Catalyst of Economic Growth: Diagnosis to Action Women will be the main discussing point to address We will promote our joint venture with the other 20 economies to apply measures in favor of women. The greatest achievement will be to decline of inequality and the rise of steady inclusion, basic aspects of the development in our region.
