Randy Hartley, CFP Senior Investment Management Consultant Senior Vice President - Wealth Management Financial Advisor Randy Hartley, Financial Advisor, began his career at Morgan Stanley in 1985. He holds the designations of Senior Investment Management Consultant and CERTIFIED FINAN- CIAL PLANNER TM. Within the Paladin Group, Randy takes the lead in issues involving estate planning, qualified retirement plans, and long term care planning. Randy s education includes BA and JD degrees from the University of Virginia s College of Arts and Sciences and its School of Law. Randy has two adult children and resides with his wife in Cary, North Carolina. He attends Edenton Street United Methodist Church and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Raleigh and the UVA Club of the Triangle. Randy has a keen interest in college sports and jazz music. Bob Randolph Senior Portfolio Manager First Vice President - Wealth Management Financial Advisor Bob Randolph, Financial Advisor, began his career with Morgan Stanley in 1984. He holds the designation of Financial Planning Specialist and is a member of the Portfolio Management Institute. Bob has a B.S. in Business Administration from Penn State with post graduate MBA studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Within the Paladin Group, Bob takes the lead in macro-economic research, portfolio construction, and retirement income planning. Bob and his wife have lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since 1984 and have three children. Active in the community, Bob is a Rotarian and a Patron member of the WakeMed Society of 1961. He attends St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he currently chairs the Finance Council. Vann Russell Financial Planning Specialist Vice President - Wealth Management Financial Advisor Vann Russell, Financial Advisor, began his career in the financial services industry in 1994 and has been with Morgan Stanley since 2001. A Raleigh native, he holds the designation of Financial Planning Specialist. Within the Paladin Group, Vann takes the lead in hedging strategies for concentrated stock positions, college education planning, and investment research. Vann received a BA degree from Hampden-Sydney College. Vann resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and children. He attends Edenton Street United Methodist Church and is a member of the Hampden-Sydney Alumni Association. He enjoys running, fishing, and playing golf. THE PALADIN GROUP 5

Ginny Whitley Portfolio Associate Ginny Whitley, Portfolio Associate, began working with Morgan Stanley in 2000 as a part time employee while attending college and joined the firm full time in 2005. Within The Paladin Group, Ginny serves as the team administrative officer, coordinating team activities, service functions, and client appointments. She holds the necessary securities licenses to enter client investment orders and execute portfolio asset allocation changes. Ginny received a BA degree from Meredith College. Ginny resides in Knightdale, North Carolina with her husband and son. She enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Susanne Knowles Client Service Associate Susanne Knowles, Client Service Associate, began her career at Morgan Stanley in 1991, working as a Registered Marketing Associate until 2001. At that time, she decided to stay home to raise her children and to concentrate on volunteer efforts. In late 2012, Susanne returned to Morgan Stanley to assist the Paladin Group with overall client service and operational logistics. Her primary responsibilities include the transfer of assets, administration of client requests, and retirement plan operations. Susanne received a BA degree from Hollins College in Roanoke, VA. Susanne resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband and has two college-aged children. She s a NY Marathon veteran and enjoys running, family and friends.

Investment Process Successful investment planning requires a disciplined process to understand three things that are important to our clients: what they want to accomplish with their means and to whom they want to leave it, what potential roadblocks stand in their way, and what investment results they must realize to help them achieve their goals. Our process addresses these issues in four distinct phases. PHASE I: DISCOVERY The purpose of discovery is to learn what our clients want their money to do for them, their families, and what legacy they wish to leave. We do this by meeting with them in person and entering into an engaged discussion of their priorities and concerns. PHASE II: PLANNING & STRATEGY Using our wealth advisory framework, we develop practical solutions to help our clients achieve their long term objectives. This typically involves the creation of a carefully designed strategy to address issues such as sustaining lifestyle, managing assets and liabilities, and transferring wealth to family and cherished causes. We make sure that our clients clearly understand what we recommend and how it is designed to help them achieve their goals. PHASE III: IMPLEMENTATION When our clients are comfortable with an action plan, we begin the process of implementation. We identify appropriate investments to help them achieve the necessary after-tax, inflation adjusted returns. Where appropriate we direct them to outside professional resources, such as attorneys or CPA s needed to address the other issues that may affect our planning and investment strategies. PHASE IV: MONITORING & REPORTING Once the strategies have been implemented, it is our responsibility to monitor every aspect of the wealth advisory framework and to report on the results periodically throughout the year, recommending changes as warranted. 10 MORGAN STANLEY
