Inteligent Glass (STG) CITIGLASS is a high-tech enterprise incorporated in China and we master all the technology of manufacturing both Switchable Transparent Glass (STG) and Switchable Transparent Film (STF). More and more offices and houses now demand functional room space that can be switched open or private. STG helps make an open space become hidden instantly or vice versa, which can be done within 1/1000 second by simply pressing the button. STG was first applied at NASA and is now widely used in modern office buildings, control centers, banks, hospitals, automobilies, shopes, toys, aerospaces, shipping and consumor electronics industries. STG is made by laminating Switchable Transparent Film (STF) inside two pieces of glass with the intensity up to the national safety glass standard (GB9962-1999). When power off, incoming visible light scatters through the STG and the glass turns translucent: when power on, the incoming visible light transmits the STG and the glass turns clear. STG can prevent infrared light, ultraviolet and noise-proof, power-saving and environmental friendly. STF (Switchable Transparent Film) is a light modulating material comprised of droplets of liquid crystal uniformly dispersed in a transparency or translucency, flexible plastic film. When power off, coming visible light scatters through the STF and the film turns translucent; When power on, coming visible light transmits the STF and the Film turns clear. Composition: The polymer and the liquid crystals are encapsulated in the STF. Both faces of the film are covered with a transparent, ITO coating. Both ITO coatings are connected to a flat electrical busbar, which is fixed on one of the edges of the film. When the Film is switched off, the liquid crystals are randomly scattered and diffuse light in all directions. In this state STF is translucent and prevents both sides from seeing through the Flim.

By switching the Film on, the crystals line up and reorientate themselves, turning the Film totally transparent. Switching from the non-transparent state to the transparent state is almost instantaneous and can be repeated as often as desired. STG(Switchable Transparent Glass)is a laminated glazing comprising two sheets of glass, either clear or tinted, and a STF. (2) The light transmittance is not less than 75%, and its anti-light transmittance is not more than 10%. (3) The switching speed is less than 0.1 sec. (4) The visual angle is not less than 140. The difference is that the upper beam must get a hole to accommodate the electric chord. In case of outer windows, there should be a drainage hole at the bottom of outer frame. LED On Glass/ LED laminated glass We combine glass with photoelectric technology, which granted glass with a sparkling new look. It perfectly brings conventional glass into another level. LED keeps the advantages of laminated and insulating glass as well as enhances their looks by adding luminous light effects. LED saves energy by only consuming 15%-10% of energy by comparing with a regular light and 50% of energy in comparison with a neon light. With its diversity of colors, certainly it will become commercial area s highlight after dark. Until recently, LEDs were considered impractical for widespread use in large environments but the technology has improved dramatically. Some years ago LEDs were available in only red and green. Blue LEDs appeared in the 1990s and the array of color broadened a lot. These three primary colors combine to produce an unlimited unlimited variety of effects. Moreover, LED lighting can be directly controlled, digitally, meaning that there are almost unlimited effects that can be produced, including ocean-like waves of light and colorful rainbow-like patterns.

Since they use few watts, LEDs can be solar or battery powered, which makes them appropriate to situations where uninterruptible power is important. Possibilities include architectural glass in commercial and residential applications, interior design, artwork, fountain walls, floor panels, partition walls, ceilings and skylights, doors, windows and anywhere glass can be used effectively and aesthetically.
