This pamphlet contains all that you will need to know to take part in the event. On occasion we may have to update this pamphlet with more information and sometimes also change existing information. In case of this we will post a notification on www.fantasiaspel.se and on Facebook (please like and follow Fantasia Umeå). Note: that after the 23rd of September we will not do any changes that would effect gameplay. We always strive to avoid any late changes, but to make sure that you have the latest version of this pamphlet make sure to visit www.fantasiaspel.se during the final two weeks leading up to the start of the event. Registration Fantasia Fanatic takes place during the weekend of 6th - 7th of October. To register: First: choose one of the following packages: 1: Fanatic Weekend Pass Base - 300:- (includes entry fee for all tournaments played during the event) 2: Fanatic Weekend Pass Premium - 500:- (includes Base Pass plus unique mug with free refill of coffee/saft, there are four different designs, one for each game and a small notebook) Second: Register your player profile at fantasiafanatic@gmail.com. For your player registration to be completed some additional information is required by the organizers to make your gaming experience as comfortable and interesting as possible. In your Player Profile include the name of the participant and which tournament(s) you are planning to attend. Note that this means that you can play different tournaments during the weekend. The following events will be played at the Fantasia Fanatic. Main Events. These events will start on Saturday and carry on through the weekend. During the awards cermony the winners will be announced and praised. Warmachine/Hordes. 75 points steamroller. Warhammer Age of Sigmar. 2000 points.* Warhammer 40.000. 2000 points.* Malifaux. 50 Soulstones. Gaining Grounds 2018. Events *Note that you are allowed to play only Saturday on any of these events though you are required to mention this in the Player Profile. Any games not played in the specific tournament will award you 0TP. SIDE EVENTS. These events all take place on Sunday (except Shadespire). These will be smaller in size and will be following a tighter schedule. See the SIDE EVENTS folder for further information. Warmachine/Hordes. 75p Hardcore. Malifaux. 20 Soulstones, Henchman Hardcore Warhammer Underworlds, Shadespire (will be played Friday, 20.00-24.00) For more detailes of the events make sure to check out the appropriate pamphlet. Army List: The army list must be sent in to fanaticlistor@gmail.com before 23.59, Sep. 23rd. To avoid confusion type your Player Profile name, game system and army in the topic column. Fair Play We will be handing out a Fair Play Award to the most appreciated player during the Fantasia Fanatic event, this winner (in each game system) will be one voted so by you; the participants. After each match, during the registration of the match results you will also be rewarding your opponent Fair Play Points. The participants that accumulate the most Fair Play Points in each game system will win the events Fair Play Award, the events most coveted prize! (In the situation of a tie, the participant with the lowest game score will be the recipient). Saturday Night Shopping at Fantasia The Fantasia Store will keep open between 19:30 and 21:00 during the Saturday evening. We can guarantee it will be worth loading up your credit card and pay us a visit! 3
Best in Show If you want to be eligible to be chosen to compete for the Best in Show award you must be set up your entire army for display after Match 1 is complete, on the table you played on and with your nametag. We will then in turn select eight out of all the displayed armies. The chosen armies will be put on display again after match 4 for public voting. To be chosen for the best in show award you have to have painted your entire army by yourself. Lunch & Kiosk During the entire event there will be an open kiosk in the gaming hall. It will be stocked with simpler food as well as drinks, coffee, fruits and candy. The kiosk accepts both cash and Swish payments. During the lunches both Saturday and Sunday there will be a lunch trailer available outside the event locale. The Venue Fantasia Fanatic takes place in Dragonskolan s Gymnasium (Swedish: Dragonskolans Gymnastiksal) in Umeå, Sweden. The address is Signalvägen 3. If you want to use GPS, search for Dragonens idrottscentrum and it should guide you correctly. Sleeping quarters If you don t want to sleep in a hotel or hostel, you can rent a space in a class room set aside for overnighting participants. The cost is only 50,00 SEK for the entire weekend and payment is done in the same manner as the registration for the event (see above). Army We play 2000 points Matched Play as described in the Generals Handbook 2018. You build your army as a Battle Host. Rules from Forge World are allowed. Painted armies! At the Fantasia Fanatic event ALL miniatures must be fully painted. Your models should be on bases with correct base size. Consult GW:s pdf below. https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/ age_of_sigmar_core_rules_designers_commentary_basesizes_en.pdf If any model in your army has a square base you are restricted to 1800 points when building your army and can never roll on the Triumph Table. You may use old models to represent another warscroll as long as it is appropriate and not confusing for your opponents. When in doubt contact the TO before the event. Your armylist must include the following information: Your army s allegiance (and realm if chosen) All your army s units (including endless spells) with the chosen equipment, upgrades and point costs. Which model chosen as general Your choice of command trait, artifacts, spells, prayers, mount traits (etc.) The total initial command points of your army House Rules Games Workshop s FAQ (for all relevant publications) are used. If anything in this rule sheet differs from the official rules and FAQ, this rule sheet takes precedence. When piling in, if two or more enemy models are at the exact same distance to one of your models you may choose which one to pile in towards, unless they all are in base contact. The Realm specific rules and spells will not be used at the event (but realm artefacts can be chosen). Feculent Gnarlmaws, Sylvaneth Wildwoods, Baleful realmgate (in a Bloodtooth battalion), Braystones and Gloomtide Shipwrecks are all terrain features that may be used but no other terrain features may be placed on the table by a player (e.g. as a result of an allegiance ability, spell, battalion or other ability). A terrain feature may not be included in your armylist. Models which cannot be attacked or targeted are unable to score or contest objectives (Carrion/Changeling etc). The endless spell Everblaze Comet may not be used in an army also including a Stardrake and/or a Celestant Prime. Gavriel Sureheart cannot be placed in reserve and his command ability can only be used on a unit once each battle round. The Hand of Dust spell may not be cast through the Umbral Spellportal. A maximum of three Engine of the Gods can be included in your army list. An idoneth unit can never add more than a total of 3+ to charge rolls regardless of the number of Ishlann Soulscryers using the Seeker of Souls ability. Additional Soulscryers using the same ability have no effect. 5
Battles The battles take place on 6 x4 tables. Before the battle begins do the following; Define terrain (any terrain feature with trees counts as Citadel Woods but ignore the trees for the purpose of movement). Start the battle as explained in the relevant scenario. How to win Battleplans We will play five battleplans from the Generals Handbook 2018 in the following order: 1. Focal Points (p. 57) 2. Total Commitment (p. 56) 3. Duality of Death (p. 52) 4. Knife to the Heart (p. 50) 5. Better Part of Valour (p. 58 ) These scenarios will be played as described in the Generals handbook 2018 with the following exceptions and additions: The winner of a major victory receives 15 Battle Points whilst the losing player gets 5 Battle Points. If neither player wins a major victory both players instead receives 10 Battle Points. At the end of battle, each player adds up the points value of any enemy units that have been completely destroyed during the battle* (including any summoned units). Then compare the results and consult the table below (the player with the highest score receives BP and the other player loses the same amount of BP). Difference in points of units destroyed Number of Battle Points received/lost 0-349 0 350-649 1 650-949 2 950-1249 3 1250-1549 4 1550+ 5 *You score points for your opponent s endless spells by dispelling or unbinding them (but only once for each spell) *You score points for warscroll battalions by killing all units in the battalion. *You automatically score points for any points unused by the opponent (e.g. if your opponent have an army total of 1940 points you score 60 points). For example: Player A wins a major victory and receives 15 BP while player B gets 5 BP. After adding up the points of killed units these are compared. Player B killed a total of 1400 points while Player B killed units worth 740 points. The difference is 660 points. As such (according to the table above), the Battle Points are adjusted. Player B receives an additional 2 BP while player A lose 2 points. The battle ends with a more narrow victory (Player A wins 13-7). 6
Player penalties: A player that is caught cheating, acting disruptive in a significant way or other kinds of serious unsportsmanlike conducts will be punished for their behavior. A player may also be penalized for other different smaller errors during the tournament and the penalty will be decided by the organizers given the circumstances. A decision made by the organizers is final, and can not be reversed by talking to the other organizers. The punishments maybe as small as a reduction of tournament points and might be as serious as disqualification, but of course this is nothing we hope to be required to follow up on. Note that faulty or late lists will also result in penalties. On Slow-play: If you feel like your opponent is a notoriously slow player and it has negative impact on your gaming experience you may give him a warning. To do this, just talk to the tournament organizers after the game and they will give you further instructions. Late Arrival: If you turn up late for a match the following will happen: 1-20 Min. Warning (2 warnings=-3bp) 21-40 Min. -6 BP 41+Min.
