My Exact 10 Step Blueprint To Topping The International Best-Seller Music Charts With An Online Album Launch How I Went From #261,863 to Number ONE on the Amazon Music Charts in 12 hours & Made USD$9,148 in Album Sales in ONE Day By Terri Nicholson THE VISION Hey, Terri here. Welcome and awesome that your have plugged into this information and strategy. It has the potential to transform your music success and your income. It is my intention is to give you the exact step-by-step strategy that worked for me, so that you can also have an incredible online album launch that will: 1. Skyrocket your album to #1 on the Amazon best-seller music charts in 1 day. 2. Bring in some fantastic income for you in a short period of time. 3. Give you a success story and proof to leverage your ongoing success. You do not need a large budget or to be signed up to a record label to be discovered or succeed with your music. By using the power of the internet, and this specific online album launch strategy you can definitely share your music with the world, get the authority and recognition of being a #1 best-seller, and create an income from your passion. By the end of this you will have the exact process I used so you can go out and do it for your own music and dreams.

MY STORY Before we get into the actual 10 steps I d like to share my story, both so you know I am a real person and so that it can inspire you to know it is very possible to do this strategy. At 8 months pregnant with my third child I finally mustered up the courage to actually do the strategy that I had heard of months before. It s funny how it can take a while to really put yourself out there. So, I had boxes of my beautiful album sitting in the shipping container because I had slowed right down from doing gigs etc due to being pregnant. I knew there must be another way to share my music with the world, to make an income from my passion and to inspire other independent musicians along the way. What happened truly blew me away. To be sitting at #261,863 on the music best-seller charts before launch a completely unknown singer-songwriter from the rainforests of Australia and to see my humble folk album climb up the charts, passing Bob Dylan, Eva Cassidy, Leonard Cohen along the way to sit at #1 within 12 hours was truly amazing. And to see the album sales roll in, my inbox filling with notifications, and to bring in $9148 USD in album sales in just one day it boggled my mind and warmed my heart.

To know that my music would touch all those people who had bought (not to mention the other goodies they would get...but i ll explain how that works in Step 3), and to have that peace of mind around income flowing in for my family not just any income, but income that came from my passion and musical creativity. What a blast! We were living on the land in a rural area in Northern NSW Australia, with no budget, no label and literally just an internet connection and a strategy to run with. And it worked. It works. And, so without further ado, here it is.

THE BASIC STRATEGY - Because Amazon updates their best-seller charts every hour, the idea is to have about 500 to 1000 people buy your music album all on the same day. - Having hundreds of album sales in a short period of time will literally skyrocket your album up the international music charts... the plan is...all the way to #1!! - To do this you have an online album launch and invite lots of people to go to your website on one day (launch day) and buy your album. - Offer lots of free digital gifts (so no hard cost) if they buy your album just on launch day so it s a no-brainer with so much value. - Self promote and network with others to help share your launch, both with social media, email and offline media. - Document your success with screen capture shots on the day and celebrate! THE TEN STEP BLUEPRINT This assumes you have already created you own EP/album in a physical form. STEP 1 - Set a Date, Discover Your Story & Harness Your Courage Set a date. Yes, set it down, and commit to it. I recommend giving yourself 3 months or more to do this online launch process. You can do it quicker if you have a lot of time on your hands, but because there are a few parts to this strategy, including hearing back from others, it s always good to allow time to set it up well rather than feel pressured or stressed. If you have already launched

your album offline, it is fine to do an online launch even if it has been released this is your ONLINE launch which is distinct :) Internet marketers say Thursdays are the best day of the week to launch something online, so go with that, and stick to it. Yes, commit to following through. Now for most people, putting ourselves out there and making a bold claim that we are planning to do an online launch to top the music charts can bring up some nerves/fear. This is where you connect with your courage inside and with your own vision. It s important to connect with a vision that is both personal (say, to have your music touch the lives of people around the world, and to be able to truly make an income from your passion) as well as something larger than your personal gain. For me this was around inspiring others that you don t have to wait around to be discovered, that an independent unsigned singer-songwriter can succeed on the chart without budget or label, up against the big names. You need to connect with that because as you share your intention with people (through step 2), it will resonate with others if it is something that inspires them beyond just helping you personally. This is where your message becomes viral, because people love to be part of helping the underdog succeed, and feel inspired by witnessing others going for their dreams and putting themselves out there. Don t underestimate the ripple effect of what you are doing, and how it will touch the lives of others around the world in ways you can t fathom at this point. STEP 2 - Grow Your Audience & Fan Base Build and foster your fanbase of email subscribers and targeted audience of followers on social media to self-promote.

This is basic Internet marketing, networking and audience building. If you have your own email fan list already, begin to email them regularly so you are front of mind in the lead up to your launch. If you don t have an email fan list, then it s time to start! This can be emails collected manually at live gigs, or as an opt-in form on your website to collect people s emails. The other main focus here is building and fostering your following on social media. Rather than try to grow an audience on all of the social media networks, choose just one or two. This will prevent overwhelm and allow you to truly focus on mastering one. For example, I have chosen Instagram as my main audience building platform and currently have over 150K total followers just on Instagram. My music account has about 8K and growing daily. (If you need help to get your Instagram account cranking I d love to help you with that). I d say the best two to focus on would be Instagram and Facebook. However if you already have a following elsewhere or you resonate with a different platform, by all means go for it with that. STEP 3 - Organise The Free Bonuses Organise the bonuses. The idea here is to have a wonderful package of free downloadable digital gifts for every single person who buys your album on launch day. Where do these bonuses come from? Other people. You connected invite others to donate a free digital gift in exchange for significant free exposure/promotion. Many business owners, artists, marketers understand the value of giving something away as a way for people to get a feel for what they offer. This can be a free mp3, video series, ebook, e-course etc. As it is in digital form, it costs

nothing for the person/business who has donated it. What do they get? Free exposure (promotion) by being seen by everyone who buys/or doesn t buy the album (many thousands of eyeballs). What do you get? To be able to include high-value free digital gifts to your audience with no cost to you. For example: The downloadable gifts that every person got when they bought my album on launch day totalled over $5000 in value. The album cost $20. So you can see, $20 for my beautiful album shipped to them PLUS over $5000 in downloadable gifts created what I mean by a no-brainer. The perceived, and truly real, value was WAY higher than the actual cost. This compels people to buy ON launch day, rather than thinking they ll wait till later. For this to work you need people to buy from your website in a short concentrated period of time. This can take a bit of brainstorming and communication with others, which is why I put it as an early step, so you have time to create a fantastic compilation of free bonuses. STEP 4 - Organise partner Networks Another brainstorming step. This is where you start asking and collating a list of people who have email lists or large social media followings who would be happy to send out a short email/post to their list about your album launch. Your aim is to have 100,000 emails go out on launch day! Woah! So start making a list of friends and family, businesses, successful musicians who have email lists and social media followings etc who you can approach and see if they are happy to spread the word about what you are aiming to do

One third of the traffic to my website on launch day was from Facebook. It basically went viral with people sharing what was happening. So this step is crucial. STEP 5 - Set Up Your Amazon Account It is important to set up your Amazon account prior to the launch date. Create a normal seller s account, however, just before launch date change this to a. Account which means you will be charge x for the month rather than x on every sale. This works out better for you. Choose what genre your music is and if there are sub-genres you are also part of make sure you register for those charts as well. Example: My music is within the folk genre, so I registered my album on All categories, Folk & also Contemporary Folk. You will automatically be registered for the Movers & Shakers chart. Set the cost for your album at $20 USD. You want it a bit higher than a normal album, especially as they are going to get a wonderful list of downloadable gifts valued at more than $1000. STEP 6 - Set Up Your Website You will need 3 pages on a website for launch day. If you don t have a website/blog already I will put a couple of services I recommend in the resources at the end of this pdf. Website page 1 - Your Sales Page. This is where people will arrive on launch day and where they can purchase your album. Website page 2 - Opt-in For Free Gifts page - You need to create an opt-in so that people can put their email in, verify their order, and be automatically taken to the Downloads Page.

Website page 3 - The Downloads page. This will have a list of all the links to all the digital gifts as promised. If you do not have the existing tools to create your 3 web pages or the opt-in form needed ask for the tools I use and recommend. STEP 7 - Follow Up & Organise Downloads Page with Links Follow up with the people and businesses who would love to donate a free gift and get them to either send you the free gift as a digital file, or the link to their page where someone can download the gift. If the donor would like to grow their own list from this process, they will give you a link to a page where someone will put their email in the form in order to receive the gift. Add the list and links to all the free gifts on the Downloads Page. STEP 8 - Pre-Launch Media Blitz - Offline & Online From a few weeks out until launch day, start sharing your story, intention to top the Amazon best-seller charts with your album launch, and really begin to harness the excitement of many to participate in your vision. Make sure you express how this is not just about you and your music, but proving that independent musicians can indeed share their music with the world without being signed up or have a huge budget. Make it about something bigger than you, that inspires others, and that people want to get behind. People cheer for the underdog and will want to help you succeed. Start sharing posts, updates, small videos basically begin to general excitement in the lead up to the online launch day.

Set up Facebook Event for your online album launch. Begin to post updates, countdown on that page as well as your personal profile and other social media pages (Facebook music page, Instagram, Youtube etc) Send out a press release (a short intriguing story description of what you are doing, good image (not your album cover or it looks like an ad) and audio file) to offline media - local newspapers, local radio stations. They may well want to run a story on you. You can offer to come on and share some of your music and be interviewed. STEP 9 - Launch Day!!! As the clock turns over. Make your Sales Page go LIVE!!! Yes it s LIVE! Make sure you take screenshots of your rank on the Amazon charts (command shift 3 on a mac) 2 weeks before, 1 week before and every hour on launch day (even through the night lol) because you do not want to miss documenting the moment you do top the charts. You will be able to leverage that forever, so don t miss it! Make sure you go back and forth between all the charts you registered for. The sub-genres, the main genre, the all category and also the shakers and movers. Send out posts to social media & an email to lists etc early in the morning. Do update posts throughout the day as your album climbs the charts. Share your excitement and actively ask people for their support and to share your message on social media. Send out a reminder message to those who have said they will share with their audiences and lists. Contact Amazon to let them know there will be a spike in sales due to your online album launch. Let the sales roll in and absolutely enjoy the experience. Document it all with screenshots, photos of yourself, videos!

STEP 10 - Follow Up and Leveraging Your Success Both offline and online media follow-up is extremely important. Have a pre-witten 200 word media release that you can send out with a screenshot to offline and online media sources. The attention you can get in the aftermath is powerful. Update your website main page. Include a huge thankyou to all who bought your album on launch day and also the those who contributed the free gifts. Celebrate and send thanks and screenshot posts/videos out on social media. Email thanks for those who shared your idea with their contacts. Update your bio and any other place on your website/email signature etc to include Amazon best-seller album. Make sure people know about your success, and run with the momentum! And of course, now it s time to actually ship the physical albums. CONCLUSION I trust that this has just sent some light bulbs off in your mind about how you can leverage the power of the internet to transform your music success and income with a clear step by step strategy.
