Company Profile Since its establishment in 1964 in Waldstetten (Bavaria) by Mr. Wilhelm Merkle, Merkle has set itself apart as one of the world leaders in the production of welding technology equipment for manual and automated welding. We manufacture our products at our 7.000 m² (75.350 ft²) Merkle headquarters in Kötz, Bavaria, where our R&D, mechanical and electrical production and main warehouse facility is situated. ProSWITCH: available in our HighPULSE series of machines, the ProSWITCH function allows an unli- mited combination of all available welding processes, producing a single process suited to you, your material and your welding task. Combine Pulse with spray arc, spray arc with ColdMIG, or even DeepARC + ColdMIG + Spray arc with Pulse to give an unparalleled flexibility. High Frequency Pulsing (KHz): Available up to 12000 Hz (12 KHz) in all of our TIG welding power sources. In House Production Quality in the world of Merkle means Total control! Even before the era of DIN EN ISO 9001, Merkle maintained its own quality management system and levels. This made the jump to our DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 qualifications very easy, and showed us that we were in fact already producing to standards well above the required norm. To manufacture a high technology component to standards well above the current certification levels, we have learnt that our own in house production is of utmost importance. In reality it is the key to high reliability, availability and flexibility. Because we manufacture as much as possible ourselves, we are in a position to adapt to changing market demands in a very short space of time. The fact that we produce so much of our equipment ourselves is also the key to success of our mechanical and electronic R&D departments.
