ABOUT WORKSHOP Introduction to RF module and sensing Our workshop will focus on getting you up and running on Wireless communication & sending sensor data wirelessly. Students will get introduced to programming and interfacing microcontroller with various sensors, actuators, and Modules, at the end each team will design their own embedded system solution results different variety of product as workshop outcome. The duration of this workshop will be two consecutive days with eight hours session per day. The total of sixteen hours properly divided into theory and hand on practical sessions. This workshop targets Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science Engineering students and technology enthusiasts, and will have both theory and hands-on practical activities. Lead faculty for the program is Mr. Pratheesh Nair, CTO, Tachlog; having 7+ Years of Experience in Embedded programming and hardware design.
OBJECTIVE AND VISION The main objective of our workshop is to give an overview about how Arduino and Raspberry-Pi can be used in real world and in industrial applications. We have structured our workshop activities in such a way that students grow their interest in designing and programming, so that they could start hacking and building things on their own. Our aim is to build troubleshooting skills among students and make them familiar with the difficulties arising while implementing practical designs. Workshop Highlights : Wireless Remote Controlled Robot Various Sensor. Hands on with Robotic Platform.

PREVIOUS WORKSHOP HISTORY We have conducted around 30 workshop for college students. Among that the notable ones are : Kerala IEEE Technical Exhibition and Symposium (KITES) 2016 Raspberry pi and PCB Design. FOSS Young Professional Meet on Free Software held at Technopark The FOSS Young Professionals Meet organized by International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) was inaugurated by Prof. M S Rajasree, Director, and IIITM-K. The Meet has been organized as ICFOSS initiative to expose young professionals to the opportunities in FOSS and introduce them to emerging FOSS-based tools, technology and trends. Workshops on Advances in Open Source Robotics This workshop, targeted at students and open source robotics enthusiasts. Robotics and Automation is an area that is fast- emerging, with numerous applications in industrial, military, domestic and personal domains. Robots are machines that have specially-defined capabilities that make them fit for a purpose. Usually, this involves control mechanisms, sensors for feedback, and information modelling/processing that provides the specific behaviour of the robot.
