PAGE 1 of 2 Review the hole pattern layout of the Vroom Garage Ceiling Bracket #9547 so you know which holes to use. 24" 16" 12" Install one (1) lag screw with washer into the center of a ceiling joist. Leave 1/8 inch between the ceiling and washer as shown. 1/8" So far, your installation should look like this. Place the ceiling bracket over the washer. Then slide the bracket as shown. This will hold the bracket in place while you install the other lags. Be sure to use washers on each lag screw. #9547 Install square end cap on the square extension tube as shown. Install the other 3 lag screws with washers, ensuring they are threaded securely into the center of the joists. Finish tightening the first lag screw. Your bracket installation should be very solid. PAGE 2 of 2 Attach the Vroom Universal Mounting Bracket to the square extension tube of the Vroom Garage Ceiling Bracket #9547 as shown. 3/8 Lock Nuts Square Extension Tube with End Cap 3/8 Bolts Five 1/4-20 Steel Nuts Five 1/4-20 Screws Vroom Plastic Mounting Base Tighten all screws securely If the square extension tube is too long for your installation, cut length from this end. Bend this Metal Tab Secure Vroom with Thumb Knob Install Vroom into the plastic mounting base as shown. It will snap securely into place when properly installed. 3/8 Bolts 3/8 Lock Nut 3/8 Lock Nut Securely attach Vroom to the Ceiling Bracket. Bolts should be secured through adjacent sides of bracket. To clear tall vehicles, the bottom of the handle should be 80" above the floor. Plumb and wire to complete the installation.
Vroom Universal Mounting Bracket Using linesman pliers, firmly grip and bend the top and bottom tabs as indicated. The Vroom Universal Mounting Bracket should now look like this. Use 4 drywall screws or lag screws with washers to attach the Vroom Universal Mounting Bracket to the center of wall studs. Install the Vroom into the plastic mounting base as shown. It will snap securely into place when properly installed. Attach the plastic Vroom mounting base (purple) with five ¼ - 20 steel nuts and screws to the metal Universal Mounting Bracket.
