Aside from critically acclaimed records (I still call them records) and numerous accolades, they can now add producing to their list of accomplishments as they made this excellent new recording themselves. Some of the ingredients of a successful production are capturing great vocals (which they surely did), having the right musicians and recording them properly (they wisely used their own highly skilled band), and choosing songs that make the album a seamless whole (which they have masterfully done). It s no easy feat to make a record that is such a wonderful pleasure to enjoy. Darin and Brooke bring tradition to today and today to tradition. And they sure do North Carolina proud! They have the respect and admiration from their peers and the love and gratitude of their fans, and I m one of them. I can t really do justice in trying to describe the essence of this record in words; you just have to hear it to know what I mean. Listening to the lush harmonies of two people that incorporate their love and faith into their music is something very special and rare.
